Google Bad Review 1:  We had the misfortune to find ourselves indirectly using this company because we bought a new build and they were responsible for snagging the fence. The fencing was pretty good when we moved in but we raised a small issue with a gap in the fence where one of the slats was curved. instead of replacing the curved slate they just jammed in another one which, as well as not being evenly spaced, was heavily marked and stood out like a sore thumb compared to the rest of the fence. We also raised that there were some split slats, they replaced some but not all of them using poor quality wood with lots of mold all over it and some very clearly marked (as if from the reject pile). Their supervisor came to look and claimed it was the same quality. My 96 year old grandmother's first comment about our new house what, “what the hell have they done to your fence?”. They managed to bend our gate so that it wouldn't shut properly, came back 3 months later to do a bodge fix so that we had security reinstated then did the actual replacement of the gate a further 4 months later. The new gate is made out of rough mouldy wood not to teh standard of the original and others in the road but by this time it is clear we will have to live with that or change the wood ourselves as every time Maifords are involved they just make things worse. This process continued until we have now had to refuse allowing Maiford back on our property (the developer is still trying to give them a 5th chance to rectify). Despite being asked repeatedly to let us know when they are coming they have always just turned up on our doorstep. The whole thing has just been a headache for something that should have been so simple. Even putting caps on the top of the posts they missed 4 or 5 of them then came back and put different ones on, then came back a third time and replaced some, but not all, of the different ones with a third type meaning we have three different styles of post caps. In the end I bought some matching ones and replaced the non-matching ones with matching ones myself.
