Google Bad Review 1:  Awful to work for! I was unfortunate enough to work there many years ago and I am still haunted by how horrible this place was. It was by far the worst place I ever worked at, including out of the dozen of client premises I worked at. I have never felt more like a number. We were encouraged to record every single minute we spent on client work even when out of hours ( and told how to start the timer whenever we had an incoming call) while being told we would not necessarily be entitled to claim overtime. I did not have the heart to return there following a bereavement and phoned up on the last day of the month- on the day a parent passed, heartbroken, to say I would be leaving after a month spent by a their bedside in hospital. The partner I spoke to must have called the Payroll department straight away to quickly stop my pay as I did not get paid at all for that month- meaning I did not get any compassionate week at all. I think that says it all…

The place is a shambles with power hungry, ignorant and selfish senior management. No progression…failing systems….no accountability…..4 managers left within the space of 9 months which tells you everything……Avoid! No backing from HR when the whole team raised points of bully tactics and stress from poor working conditions….

Google Bad Review (2):  Update: A year later-service is still terrible, accountant advice improved slightly and then they didn’t notify me to file my confirmation statement or that I needed to be aware of, even after speaking recently on the phone. Admitted fault from their side that emails weren’t functioning properly and obviously the phone calls aren’t a thing. With one day to file my statement the software link isn’t working and I get a 404… and no update. Surprise surprise. If you are a new business they only make issues worse.

11 months ago: I've joined Crunch nearly a month ago as I was impressed by the proactive approach and information by Joshua – since I've joined I have felt let down – almost a month later I'm still dragging on trying to work out how to use the system – but only basic things – which could also be down to the fact that I am am new at having to manage my accounts – but one of the main reasons I joined Crunch. I contacted Customer Services and things improved with my account manager – but in between working a contract and getting to speak with my account manager – it drags things out. Yes Joshua was proactive and calling me out of work hours to suit with quick email response times – but once you've signed up you have to fit in getting used to the software/managing the account and queries around the working day hours and getting your co off the ground its a frustration- if you have a query – sometimes it gets answered the next day but then you come across another problem that needs answering… Its taken me nearly two weeks to figure out how to pay myself as simple things aren't highlighted when you are going to sort things out. I expect it may take another month to get that sorted. The Help section hasn't really helped me, as it doesn't give you information on step by step – eg CSV uploads if they get an error and you've followed the help section. Any serious questions I've had to research myself. I'm trying to give the benefit of the doubt as I was recommended by a few friends but from what I'm gathering – Crunch is like Marmite. I think it would be great if you would be able to contact Crunch outside traditional working hours to ensure quicker response times or ease – perhaps that would give me a better experience.

Google Bad Review 1:  Terrible accounting services. Their unprofessional, bitter attitude shows immensely. They led me on for 4 months and in the end didn't file anything for me and made me look for another accountant last minute to do all the work due to ‘insufficient information' which I had already TOLD them several times. Not only that, they also ask you incredibly inappropriate and confidential information about your work for their own ‘personal use'. Disgusting service, would not recommend to anyone. And don't bother replying to this comment stating some sham nonsense, try being more professional to clients.

EDIT: What law? The information you asked me was CONFIDENTIAL and unnecessary to ask for ‘personal use'. The accountant I went with as well as several other accountants confirmed this and stated what you asked for was strictly private information which had no need to be asked for. I'm not surprised you offer no apology for leading me on for months due to your bitterness and hostile attitude towards my work, quite expected.

Google Bad Review (2):  The most disappointing accounting firm I’ve ever come across.
I Chose them for accountancy due to their good reviews but I highly suspect these have been written by themselves after dealing with their level of unprofessionalism.
I instructed the firm months ago to deal with my accounting and they were initially friendly and mentioned they could assist. I waited on them for months to sort out the return providing them numerous pieces of information despite my schedule and specifically mentioned to them I was hoping to file as soon as possible. They were fine with this and gave no mention of any issues regarding job, income, ect but on the very week I needed the filing done and sorter (which I had let them know of months prior), they cancelled last minute without any notice. Please note they may claim this was due to “insufficient information” but i assure you all information was provided and they confirmed everything was fine until the last day. The most childish tactic for not going above and beyond to give them private details about my business affairs (details which they didn’t need and which the accountant pointed out was “for his personal interest”). If you suffer the unfortunate fate of having Alex as your accountant, please be very cautious of being left beyond disappointed.

They then also very unprofessionally  breached privacy guidelines by revealing my personal address online publicly. They did this without my prior knowledge due to me being unhappy with their service. Instead of offering me an apology for the absolute chaos and unprofessionalism, their great idea was to inappropriately share my personal address online on my company site. I was left looking for another accountant last minute to sort out the mess they created- thankfully I did and have had absolutely no issues with any other accountants I’ve dealt with.

Please beware they may reply to this review claiming false accusations to clear their trail and denying whatever they can but I assure you the worst decision you can make is choosing this firm. I am simply writing this as an honest experience to warn others from making the same mistake I did.
They will try to inappropriately dig into any of your business or personal affairs (not for any tax/ business purposes but for their “personal interest”- quoted directly by Alex who then became bitter when he couldn’t find what he was looking for) and leave you without any work being done last minute whilst having wasted months of your time. By far the most unprofessional people I’ve dealt with.

I truly hope this review helps at least one person from making the mistake of choosing this firm like I did and not buy into these other fake reviews they’ve given themselves.

Be careful with their invoices! When we first met them someone called Kishor told us roughly £2000-£3000 for our company size. But he said they charges hourly for the job. I thought fair enough. Then they sent us invoices every month with a vague details. Total we have been charged roughly £10,000 for an unfinished job! When I insisted for details they gave me again not clear answers, so basically they charge even receiving a letter or a phone call by telling them something! It’s so hard to QUANTIFY their exact hours for the work they have done, they could send you any amount for any hours they spent!
