Google Bad Review 1: Summary: Abysmal. Tasteless food with no authenticity.
When I asked whether the food was made fresh the response was, ‘the food is cooked fresh in the morning and reheated’. I can’t be convinced that it was even made fresh in the morning. The lamb was noticeably dull and lacking vibrancy. All of the curries were watery and without much taste. You could tell that the food had probably been sat in a container for 24-48h. At £28.50pp + service I found this unacceptable. When asked for the manager he refused to come and instead a waiter was sent. On request to speak to the chef, we were told he was too busy. On the way out the manager shouted and aggressively talked at us not listening to a word we had to say.
Overall not an experience I would want anyone to go through. Your money is better spent elsewhere. No passion for culinary excellence in sight.

Google Bad Review (2): The service at this restaurant is beyond pathetic. They brought the bill over immediately after our dessert came, claiming that they needed the table and that we had only booked it for one and a half hours. Firstly, there was nobody waiting in line, and there were several tables free at this point. Secondly, this time limit wasn't mentioned when we sat down, when we ordered, and could certainly have been mentioned at the time of ordering dessert-considering that the manager came over immediately after it came. One can only surmise that they wanted to make an extra buck before unceremoniously throwing out patrons.
The manager was rude and obnoxious and was unconcerned when we pointed out that we were still eating. It felt like we were being thrown out-obviously Roti Chai believes that guests can be treated in such a disparaging manner. There were no apologies, and certainly no empathy for the fact that we were still eating!
Roti Chai needs to treat its guests better-and needs to train its employees to speak with decency and respect. The entire evening was ruined by this unprofessional, aggressive, and uncalled for behaviour. I would highly recommend everyone to stay away from this establishment! You're treated without respect; all they want to do is get you to order as much as you can before they throw you out.
