Google Bad Review (2): Absolutely upsetting, horrendous and awful experience at Fire and Stone. DO NOT BOOK HERE just simply the WORST customer service I’ve ever experienced. Horrible and rude staff and disgusting attitudes. This restaurant does not even deserve one star for the way they ruined our day.
We had booked weeks in advance for a table for dinner for my Nans birthday. After a lovely day out we arrived at the restaurant for our reservation. We were seated at a table so cramped between two large families. (So cramped that you couldn’t even take off your coat properly.) Bearing in mind the rest of the restaurant was pretty much empty we politely asked to move tables.
Staff firstly ignored our calls for assistance and walked straight past us.
All the staff were staring and pointing as we got up from the first table to move and made us feel extremely uncomfortable.
When we asked to sit in a booth the waiter then got extremely argumentative and said ‘those are for 6 people I don’t understand why you keep asking me you have to sit here’ he then went on to say that my sister has been ‘rude ever since she entered the door’ this was the tipping point unfortunately as all we had done since we got in was sit down look at the menu and ask very politely to move.
At no point did he say that these booths were reserved, they were basically holding the tables incase they had walk in of 6.
This was disgusting as we had booked for a special occasion yet they wanted to cramp us in anywhere.
Also when we said we will be leaving a bad review the waiter also tried to be nice to persuade us against this. This was too late. Nothing could’ve rectified the situation.
Do NOT book here. If you’re looking for somewhere to eat I suggest anywhere BUT here.
