Google Bad Review 1: Don't go near this place, it is run by a bunch of crooks. We had the worst Experience ever. I would not recommend this facility to anyone, even to my worst enemy. We hired the place for my brothers wedding and paid a large sum of money, upfront, in full, for the full works, the food, the hall etc for a day. Every thing was fine until the day came.
The owners waited until all the guests were all seated and expecting for the food to come out and be served and it was a completely full house, and when it was time to serve the food, came into the hall and in front of the guests demanded that we pay and extra £400 right there, because there a few extra guests, or else they would not serve the food. They did this in full view of the guests who were seated and made sure they all could hear what was being said. If people could die from embarrassment, we would all have died there and then, it was humiliating and totally uncalled for. We told them we will pay the the money, could they please just start serving the food in the meanwhile. And they refused and continued to embarrass us in front of the full guests and demanded the money in full right there and then or they wouldn't serve the food. They deliberately timed this to exert pressure on us in order to get extra money as they knew we will pay as all the guests were seated and could see what was happening. My father who is an elderly man went outside to get the money from the cash point, came back in and gave them £600, meaning he gave them extra £200 by mistake. He made this mistake due to the shock and embarrassment as it was his son that was getting married. We told them to give the the extra £200 back, and guess what, they made an excuse and flatly refused to give the money back.
My elderly father found all this too much and ended up in hospital suffering from high blood pressure and hypertension due to the embarrassment, shock, and the way these thieves took £600 of his hard earned money.
The waiters were EXTREMELY, EXTREMELY rude to the guests and were barking orders at the guests through out the whole day. The sound system was also playing up the whole time.
Obviously the way the owners had behaved was not an accident, and they did this to embarrass us in front of the guests so as to put pressure on us, so that they could get as much money as possible.
If you want a enjoyable day, avoid this place like the plague. They will smile at you in the beginning and tell you everything is fine, then wait until the right time and hit you with a surprise.
Also during the day, a chair collapsed under one of the guests as she was sat on it, making her fall to the ground in front of the guests, leaving her with a wound on her back. We will make sure sues these thieves, and takes them to the dry cleaners for every penny they stole from people.
I am still fuming at how they treated every one, I will make sure that I will get all the different government agencies to come and take a closer look at this place. I will be contacting the Home Office Immigration Department, the Inland Revenue, the Benefits agency, the Food standards agency, the Health and Safety Agency and every other government agency I can think off.
Anyone reading this should copy this and put on other websites and also notify their family and friends to stay the hell away from this place. There are other better places where you will not be robbed and be treated with respect.
