Google Bad Review 1:  Called this practice on Friday on the off chance that they had an emergency appointment for the Saturday, when we turned up it had been booked for the 9th June!!!!!! This resulted in my having to find another dentist on a Saturday, ended up having to pay privately. Disgusted.

Google Bad Review (2):  I unfortunately ended up with Shaan when booking an NHS appointment as my usual dentist aren’t currently taking weekend NHS appointments and I wish I had read the other reviews about him before as he was exactly as others have described him in ther reviews, rude and condescending to NHS patients.

In terms of my appointment, I agreed to have my appointment moved 45 minutes earlier to accommodate the dentist and then on the actual day of my appointment, I was made to wait for 45 minutes to be seen which isn’t acceptable. I was not informed about these delays and only found out once I went down to the reception desk having already waited for half an hour.

In the appointment, I had a quick catch up and informed Shaan that I was looking to get an updated treatment plan and go ahead with the work as the plan I had with my usual dentist had recently expired. After the checks, he was unable to give me an estimated cost for the work and wanted me to come back again after reviewing x rays that my other dentist held so I asked how much per white filling which he quoted as £120 – £180 and just said that the work would greatly exceed the cost of my previous treatment plan which I had shown him. Therefore I said that I’d go back to my original dentist and at that point he changed completely and started getting funny like a child. I told him it’s not about not having the money, it’s about getting value for money and I felt that based on what he had said I wouldn’t be getting. For someone that is supposed to be a professional, he is extremely immature and needs to sort of his behaviour as it’s not acceptable to attempt to belittle patients.

I explained my frustrations to the receptionist having waited for as long as I had only to have a 5 minute check up and be spoken to in that way. I’m not sure of her name but she was really understanding and helpful and Shaan could really learn a thing or two from her on how to speak to people. She attempted to rectify the situation by offering me to see another dentist free of charge which I declined as to be honest, I will never be returning back to this dentist as long as Shaan is working there.
