Survey booked for today, 10th July – scheduled 2 weeks in advance didn't happen as Houzecheck and EA failed to properly communicate. Surveyor refused to carry out the survey with tenants in the property.
It will be rescheduled at HouzeChecks expense but it creates a delay that may mean missing the end of the stamp duty holiday.
Awful service, 1 star.

Google Bad Review (2): Avoid! Got a short notice survey and wish I'd have waited for a previous company I'd used instead now!
The “Surveyor” happened to miss the fact that the double storey extension didn't have planning permission or building regs sign off!
In the survey it suggested it was built in 1992. Cutting a long story short the house was about to fall though as I couldn't get Insured on the house, when I approached this company asking how they knew it was built in 92, the answer that came back was “because the owner told me, and its less than 3m so doesnt need planning permission ”
Couldn't quite believe the arrogance of the answer when I've paid good money, the lack of thought before answering is incredible!
Needless to say the house fell though 5 days before exchange as the double storey extension was also built over a drain without a build over agreement! House insurance was impossible.
On a slightly lighter note, just to prove they really don't care, they suggested the soil pipe was internal (it wasn't) and they said it had shower over bath and they were separate! Copy and paste at its finest from the surveyor (Vanesha in the leeds area)
I realise they work with thousands of surveyors and I've just been unlucky, but be aware these could be the pitfalls if you want a quick survey, for slightly cheaper.
