Google Bad Review 1:  I generally love muji and have a lot of their products. However, as I walked into this store, one of the staff started yelling at me for no reason. It was my first time visiting this Muji location and for a staff to yell at you saying “What are you doing here?!” was humiliating. I will not visit this location again.

Google Bad Review (2):  Incredibly rude manager today.
I went in to buy a plain black t shirt for my daughter to wear in a concert tomorrow, having failed to find one anywhere else locally.
I found a pack of men's xs t shirts but there were no dimensions on the packet so took one out to see if it looked about the right size. There was an open t shirt on the display but it was for a different size so I couldn't use this to decide. The one I had opened looked fine so I took it over to the till to buy. The assistant then told me when paying I wouldn't be able to return it as it was opened. I did not think this sounded right or would stand legally. She cited hygiene reasons but I hadn't worn the shirt merely opened the packet in the store and how would anyone know if it was suitable without removing it from the packet? She agreed that I could swap it for an unopened pack and this would protect my statutory rights. I bought an opened pack but unfortunately realised about half an hour later I had picked up a v neck pack rather than a round neck. The packs are the same price and appearance and were placed together on the shelf. I returned to make a straight swap of the unopened pack and this time spoke to the manager who aggressively told me I had already been told by the previous assistant I couldn't make a swap. I challenged this as it was untrue. I suggested she call the previous assistant but she continued to treat me with contempt and as if I was lying or somehow trying to do something dishonest. I merely was trying to buy a t shirt from a store and exchange one unopened packet for another. I had a receipt which says clearly you can return your purchase within 30 days in a saleable condition if not happy with it. She had no legal right to refuse to swap one unopened packet for another and I suspect no right to say I couldn't swap an opened saleable unused t shirt either. She finally let me swap but said irritably ‘ -once only' . I have sympathy with shop staff working over the Christmas period but this woman's behaviour was unacceptable for working in customer service. I am very upset at how rudely I was treated today as a customer and won't buy from muji again.

Google Bad Review 1:  THIS PLACE IS A BUNCH OF LIERS!!!

On August 4, 2017 I bought a little necklace with ballerina for my little sister as a birthday gift. The price of the necklace is GBP 55, which is not that expensive, but as it is a gift I kindly asked if I can have it packed in a box. An arrogant brunette salesgirl (whose name is Rossana) then told me that they don't have any boxes at all and she gave me a pouch, which is nice enough in a simple occasion – for yourself, but not representable as a gift.

It is surprising how a jewellery shop doesn't have any boxes at all? I researched the company on the internet and saw that they offer gift boxes for around GBP 5. I came back to the shop and showed the picture to the same salesgirl and two of her other colleagues – they looked at the picture and acted like they have never seen the box before in their life. Moreover, the brunette girl repeated herself in a way as if I was mad – ‘I don't understand, I told you before we don't have any boxes'. She then CLEARLY said ‘that's how we are, it is our concept, we only offer pouches and not boxes'.

I had to accept this and look for a gift box somewhere else.

Next, on August 5,2017 my boyfriend bought me a necklace I liked for about GBP 195 or more than that. GUESS WHAT???? It was neatly packed in A BOX!

I understand if you cant sell those boxes or u have a strong policy of giving it only for some special pieces, but why to lie?????

Your staff made a fool out of me! How can we trust you? For example one of your staff told me that your pieces are very durable, because they are not of porcelain, etc. How can we know it is not another lie????

As a French company, if you want to do business in the UK, you have to understand that customer service standards are one of the highest in the world and very important for spoilt UK consumers. Please be so kind to employ professional staff that will not be laughing in a face of the customer…..

Have you read my comment carefully? As I have clearly mentioned that your staff pointed to me that you don’t offer any boxes at all as it is the concept of your store.

You then told me that the next day you received these boxes…

So do you really want me to believe this?

Thank you for offering me to come back (which I haven’t done since this unpleasant incident) to collect one of your exclusive and hard-to-get boxes, but as your colleagues confirmed the boxes are unavailable I had to buy it from somewhere else.

Google Bad Review (2):  As soon as I walked into the store I knew it wasn't going to be a pleasant visit. I walked in to see two members staff mid-conversation (not a problem) and politely greeted them. Yet, I wasn't greeted, rather, just looked at up and down. The staff didn't say a single word to me during my brief time in the shop- I was uncomfortable the entire time. I felt they'd rather get rid of me than speak to me! Poor excuse for customer service especially with a potential customer. Such a shame for such a nice looking store.
