Google Bad Review:  I am hypermobile. Due to the hypermobility I have had many injuries in many joints. I manage my body with care, including expert physiotherapy, and both yoga and pilates with very careful alignment.

I had 1 Alexander technique session. At the start of the session 1 joint hurt (left shoulder). By the end of the session 4 joints hurt (left shoulder, right ankle, entire sternum, entire sacroiliac joint). I have never felt so much worse in the space of 40 minutes.

There may be people in the world who will be helped by this. Personally, I learned that the tension in my body is a system of careful alignment that stops my hypermobility producing acute pain in many joints. Take away the tension — as the Alexander technique attempted to do — and the proper joint positions are lost so everything hurts.

This was a mistake. I do not intend to repeat it.
