Google Bad Review 1: Not really sure how this company “manages” properties. We had a horrible time renting a flat under their management as it really seemed like they did nothing. A summary of the main points: 1) After reporting several issues with the water heating system and leakages throughout the flat, they came to our flat 6 times and did not fix anything because the landlord thought the fixes were expensive, 2) They were extremely unresponsive to issues and had to be chased to get anything done, 3) Our main contact (Eva) who was actually nice on the phone, fell ill at the end of our tenancy, so it took them 20+ days to address our inventory and we had to deal with someone name Christopher Michael who was extremely rude and unprofessional, 4) they charged us for things that were there already and claimed new cleaning for blinds that need replacing anyway – also 80 pounds alone to fix a loose toilet holder!!!! Christopher mentioned that the charge was so high because of the fuel cost, traffic, parking associated with having someone fix things – pretty sure that's none of our business.
At the end of the day, we could've gone to court to fight for our money, but after dealing with Profin for 6 months, we just wanted out. Awful company, and we will make sure we check who manages any flat we want to rent in advance of future moves to ensure we never have to deal with them again. After reading more about the tenancy deposit scheme details, we had a really strong case. But we were bullied into taking the quickest resolution in order to never deal with Profin again.
