Google Bad Review 1: HAD TO SHAVE MY HAIR OFF TO SKIN!
I went in to have my roots touched up from dark brown to black/violet, I was told by the colourist ‘Sam’ that if I don’t have my split-ends cut off, then she won’t be able to correctly match my roots to my tips. I was relculant as I had just spent two and a half years growing out a pixie cut but after some cohersion I unfortunately have in. I had ALL (2/3) of my hair cut off into this ugly ear-length bob so that the hair will be “healthier” as Sam had said. I then had bleach slathered on my “roots” and left under the heater while the colourist dealt with other clients completely ignoring the timer beeping on the heater. After having the bleach washed off, I had my hair tinted & toned a total of about 5 or 6 times as the colourist just couldn't get the colour right. Bearing in mind I'd arrived at 9am for my appointment, it was now 3pm. You can imagine how distressing it is to be taken from the basins back to the chair for a blow-dry to find my beautiful naturally glossy hair fried and frazzled beyond repair, it had a chewing gum consistency, STRETCHY AND MUSHY (my smooth straight hair resembled Afro hair texture with no exaggeration, literally hard as if it gel had been applied during the blow-dry, very course and breaking; I was unable to put my fingers through my hair, they would just get stuck at the roots. During the blow-dry I just broke down into tears, my hair was so damaged I knew it was at the point at which I'd most probably have to have it all shaved off; worst of all the colour was appalling, it was red, pink & purple (patchy). The colourist then said that my hair was in a much better condition than when I'd walked into the salon. I'm rather confused as to how hair that's been completely bleached/chemically burnt and frazzled in the salon(afro texture when dry & chewing gum texture while wet) could be in better condition than the unbleached, straight smooth roots I had walked in with in the morning. That evening I was in the shower after attempting to fix the damage this salon has caused by using deep condtioner and I'm losing chunks and chunks of hair from my scalp (handfuls of hair), it was at that point I'd noticed the severe CHEMICAL BURNS on my scalp. I am so devastated and I just don't know what to do. This has not only impacted my hair but has affected me emotionally to the point where I don't want to be seen by my friends, family or even my partner because it looks disgusting. I wasn't charged for the colour as they'd essentially burnt my whole head but I was charged for the haircut I was forced into by the colourist. The devastation I feel is not something I can express through writing, but this tops all hair horrors I've ever experienced. I'VE SINCE HAD TO SHAVE MY HAIR OFF WITH CLIPPERS AS ALL MY HAIR BROKE OFF AND FELL OUT. PLEASE SEE MY REVIEW ON THIS SALONS FACEBOOK PAGE FOR PICTURES OF THE DAMAGE.
