Google Bad Review:  Buy from this dealer with caution. Sold me a car with dodgy brakes and very difficult to get it rectified. Still waiting for it to be fixed and paid over a week ago.

Edit – The dealer returned the car partly fixed but still needing repair. We were advised that the car making a noise still was just due to it being second hand and we have to expect that! We sourced our own mechanic who confirmed the fault within an hour and hd the car fixed via the warranty company which we still had to pay towards.

If you do buy from here ensure you have the best warranty cover so you can get the car fixed without further cost.

Google Bad Review (2):  Wanted to buy a VW golf from West Motors over a week ago, so I paid £100 deposit as requested by them before viewing and was told that the deposit would be returned if the sale did not happen. I ended up not buying the car because of the issues it had and was told they would refund the deposit. I chased the refund next week. Was told it was on the way and in fact had been made already. Over a week later – no refund yet. I phoned 3 times and texted numerous times. During my last call I said I would go down my credit card company route. And they said: do what you need to do. Avoid the company at all costs! 17/06/2020 update: following the seller’s response to the review below I contacted them and asked to have the offered refund actioned. And this is what the seller responded by email: “Happy to refund you the £100 you paid 3 months ago if you contact autotrader and google to remove the reviews.
Once this is done we will process the refund and it should take 48 hours to reach your account.
Please let me know once done so we can move forward”
So looks like the seller is not so keen on giving the refund unless I remove the negative review. It’s no longer about the money for me. I will keep the negative review as other potential customers of this seller deserve to know who they will be dealing with. Again as before, my advice is AVOID THIS SELLER!
