Google Bad Review 1: Very poor experience at the Clapham Pure Gym.
I went with my boyfriend to Pure Gym in Clapham yesterday and as he already has a membership in of your gyms in Oval I asked him to upgrade his so he will be able to enter the one in Clapham, so sometimes we can train together there.
He did some cardio to start with and after he joined me with weight training where all machines are.
From that moment I felt watched by one of the PT's there, but thought maybe he is just making sure we are training ok so I ignored it.
After we moved to free weight room I was approached by that same PT who observed us earlier, wher I was accused by him of doing Personal Training on my “colleague” and that this is forbidden in the gym .
When I explained that he is my boyfriend and we are just a couple training together I got that disgusted look from him and he said “yeah right” and walked off.
I have never in my life experienced anything like it !!!!! I've been to many gyms across UK and never been so disappointment especially from someone who suppose be there to support you .
My boyfriend is over weight and I am a self learner and also I have trained with my friend who is a PT in another city, that's why I thought it will be good to motivate my partner and help him with his weight loss.
But after what has happened yesterday, there is no way he will come to Clapham gym again !!!!!
Just because my partner is over weight and I am not, nobody has any rights to judge us like this!!!!!!
Disgusting behaviour from one of your PTs!!!!!!!!
It seems like when you go to the gym you should already be toned because the people who actually go there to lose weight they get this sort of treatment!!!!
We have asked for PT's name and we immediately left,
Ill be taking this further up.
