Google Bad Review 1:  Power hungry, unprofessional and rude manager who called the police on me for “raising my voice” when I was simply speaking in my normal tone. The police rejected her forwards as she said there wasn’t any CCTV evidence which is clearly untrue, she just knew there was no evidence of me being abrupt and loud. All this for simply asking her why my return isn’t being accepted. Apparently the item was “not in resaleable condition” – I repackaged the item as neatly and tidily as possible, which was unused and in perfectly new condition. In fact, I went to the branch in Lakeside and the item was returned without any issues. I even spoke to the manager at lakeside and she apologised on the behalf of Argos for my terrible experience at Dagenham. She even recommended to forward a letter of complaint, as she has had several complaints regarding the management at Dagenham.

I will be posting a letter to the Argos head office about this manager and will require action as soon as possible. Going through the reviews I can see this isn’t an isolated circumstance regarding returns.

The workers are lazy and simply cannot be bothered to process something that isn’t a sale. I have worked in retail managing regions before and this is the worst experience I have ever suffered.

Shame on you Argos for employing such a pathetic excuse of a manger.

Google Bad Review 1:  Went in just before christmas to collect some Emmas diary packages. Initially collected the first from boots, but they only had 1/3 in stock.

We were served by a woman called RACHEL on Till 5 (according to the reciept) she was very miserable and rude.
The voucher had to be printed from an email. I did just that. Mine printed on 2 pages as the email is quite long. She said she has never in her life seen it printed over 2 pages.

She then asked to see me AND my partner’s forms of ID. And made me sign a blank piece of paper. I did not have my drivers licence on me so she asked to see all of my bank cards. When I questioned this, she said “I know what I am doing, i think this is FRAUD” and began to become very cold towards us.
I was so shocked by this, never in my life have I been treated like a criminal just over a free voucher. With my FULL NAME printed on it. My name is pretty unique shall I add.

The argos website does not have any details of management or how we can get in touch to bring this incident to their attention. This woman should not get away with treating customers like this. Absolutley disgusting. I will be using another branch from now on.

Google Bad Review 1:  I would give zero star if I could.
I purchased an item on the website to be delivered at mine, but when I received it it wasn’t suitable for my needs so I decided to return it. I called the costumer service and the operator kindly suggested me to go to any Argos store where someone would help me with the refund so I did it.
I went to my closed Argos store where I was “assisted” by Shalina, apparently the manager, who was EXTREMELY rude towards me.
She deliberately deny to help me and left me with my purchase which is 4 big heavy shelves!
The only reason I went to the store is, the delivery box was damage by the rain and as the packaging was faulty I went to the store (also happy to buy a new one there!), but she refuse to help me and ask me to leave.
She deny to sell me another box or anything else.
She could not be bothered to work.
I can not believe as she is even employed by a company, she is absolutely not suitable for a costumer service position. Avoid that Argos as it is managed by incompetent and rude senior staff.

Waited 30 mins for the staff to find it! After being ignored for 1/2 an hour I gave up and left. A total waste of Sunday Morning. Please Argos, if you send email confirmation that it’s in stock can you make sure it is as lying is not cool.

Google Bad Review 1:  JD sport's Bromley. Never again. Disgusting customer service. Went to the first floor to look at tracksuits. Found what we wanted but could not reach the item. Saw a male member of staff sitting on a foot stool at the balcony talking to a female member of staff on the ground floor and asked for help. He could barely drag himself off the stool to help and the look on his face was something else. He immediately sat back down on the stool after getting the item but unfortunately for us we needed his help again because we could not see the price on the item so he says he does not know the price and has not got a scanner so we would have to go downstairs to find out. SHOCKING! The female staff member at the entrance of the store was busy furiously texting on her phone, not a good first impression for customers entering the store in my opinion. At the checkout 2 female staff members and one of them chewing gum very energytically. Are these the people you want representing your company JD? I won't be spending my money at your store's again.

Google Bad Review 1:  Opened Bush 32 inch tv on Christmas day. Screen was broken, plug was smashed & tv was dusty. My husband took it back on 27th & was accused by acting manager Emily & 2 lady store assistants of swapping the tv for a broken one. Serial numbers also didn't match. My husband was extremely embarrassed as this all happened in front of a large queue of customers. My husband was made to feel like a criminal & that he was lying about the tv. Now we have to wait until argos does an investigation to prove what happened. Word of caution- check all purchases before leaving the store as there is something very dodgy going on in house at argos. Will not buy from Argos again.
48 hours later no investigation has even been started. Took back tv again & what a surprise no manager on duty. Anyway store manager of Sainsbury gave my husband a replacement tv. No apology no explanation. Be careful. Check all purchases before you leave the store.

Google Bad Review 1:  Went to exchange a pair of waterproof boots, at the Bromley store, that are not waterproof! Initially the staff were fine and were going to exchange for another (more expensive) pair until the ‘store manager’ got involved. Apparently he is going to send them to his ‘waterproof boots expert’, what an absolute joke! The guy Can (more like Can’t!) was very passive aggressive and had no customer service skills whatsoever. We have used Decathlon for many years, but this has seriously made us think about using them again!
