Google Bad Review 1:  Absolutely abysmal customer service and communication. Who knows what the spa is like, because you absolutely cannot get through to book. I’ve called at multiple different times a day, for most days over the last 3 weeks. The hotel reception just transfer you to the spa voicemail and the team ignore emails too. I’ve even had a 3rd party booking service try to book on my behalf and even they can’t get through, and that’s their sole purpose! The service levels need to be improved and I’d recommend to anyone thinking of booking here to find an alternative!

Google Bad Review (2):  Disappointed with this spa, having previously visited and had a wonderful experience. The most shocking thing during our experience which as this was a 30th birthday present I was most annoyed not to have the 5 star experience. A maintenance man was painting the ladies changing room door, his response to me asking if it was wet was “it’s water based” and the receptionist response was “he won’t be long.” He then propped the door open so he could see in to the changing room due to the glass panel. In the environment we are in I also would think a top London hotel would have got rid of single use plastic but it was very much there in full force. Where the jacuzzi is part of the pool was rather cold on this visit but the pool was pleasant enough. The treatment was wonderful however it was strange not to be asked my preference for the oil or If the temperature was ok on the heated bed. I strongly suggest the manager go try the spas at Pennyhill Park and South Lodge to see how it should be done!

Google Bad Review 1:  The sign of any truly good business, I find, is how they treat their customers when things go wrong. (It's easy to be good when everything goes to plan). Sadly, Chaun misses the mark. Six months ago, my boyfriend kindly bought me a package of treatments here, knowing how overtired and overstressed I was with a new born and new business. I had only just today been able to find the time to go. The appointment was booked by my assistant, who advised that the treatments would start at 2pm but that I could arrive early, from 1:15, if I wanted to have a swim. (I didn't – I just had a baby seven months ago and frankly don't even want to entertain donning a swimsuit at the moment). I arrived at 1:40 and was immediately greeted with a reprimanding tone, “Miss, you are very late”, was the receptionists first hello. When I explained that I'd understood the appointment didn't actually start until 2pm and that I didn't want to swim but that I'd be happy to reschedule if needed, she said a cold, “Let me go talk to someone. In the meantime, fill this out”, as she left me with a clipboard. She came back with a therapist and told me that “you must have your treatment today because we have already prepared the room” but that they would be cutting it short because (again) “you are very late”. When I tried to explain again that I understood I could arrive early to swim but that the treatments themselves didn't start until 2pm, she printed out the confirmation that went to my assistant. It was clear the most important thing for her was to win the argument, not try to do what she could to find a resolution or (gasp!) help a customer. In any case, the confirmation didn't help: clearly the misunderstanding was around the whether the start time of 1:45 listed was the time I could arrive to the spa to use the facilities and when the treatments actually started. The truth is, I don't know who is at fault for the miscommunication here — maybe something was said to my assistant to make her think that I could arrive to the spa from 1:15 but the treatments didn't start until later. Maybe I simply misunderstood when it was communicated to me. Any one of us could have been at fault. But no matter. Not one person tried to make this situation better, even just as lip service. Even just a “Let's get you started now and we'll see what we can do.” The line was, you are wrong and we are right, and that's how it's going to be. As ever, it wasn't the circumstance, but how it was communicated that caused the offense. You expect more from what is supposed to be a “luxury” spa. Frankly, you expect more from anywhere. I was so put off by the attitude I received, I left without receiving any treatments at all. In a world of fallible humans, mistakes and misunderstandings happen. How you react to them is what sets apart bad companies from good. I live a 7 minute walk from Chaun spa. I won't be back.

Google Bad Review (2):  Although the staff and facilities were really quite wonderful, the heated massage table my partner had his half hour massage on was set too high and burnt his leg! Despite calling the spa twice after the experience to leave feedback we are still waiting for the manager to call us. Such a shame as I would have loved to have returned, however although the burn was not serious, the fact the management have not responded despite assurances they would, does not leave us confident about the safety and quality of the spa.

A waste of time for anyone who wants a decent lane swim. Push off from one end and you're halfway to the other.

Missing dumbbells are not replaced, hooks and equipment are frequently stolen, machines are often broken, we’re advised to not to leave anything of value in the locker room, etc.

The gym is also dirty and poorly maintained.

There’s no indoor shoe policy, and most people use the machines and different equipment without ever using a towel, and obviously, no one cleans their sweat after leaving their seat.

I go there because I don’t have any other option, since it’s the only gym near me that opens at 6am, and I can only go before work.

Not recommended. Avoid this place if possible.

Google Bad Review 1:  So so massively disappointed ☹️
I booked a cowshed deluxe pedicure (can’t remember the exact name but it included a foot mask and a head and shoulder massage on top of a regular pedicure and cost £80)
I booked for my birthday (and as a bit of an extra treat as I’m 6 months pregnant)
When I arrived I was asked to sit down in the waiting area, not offered anything to drink, which is pretty standard for pretty much everywhere else I’ve ever had a pedicure or treatment – at much less prestigious salons/spas…
The lady doing my treatment arrived and just said my name and walked away… I guessed I was supposed to follow her…
She then stood silently holding a pillow next to a whole row of empty seats… I guessed I was supposed to sit down???
The technician was polite throughout the treatment, which was ok I guess, but zero communication on what she was actually doing through the different parts of the treatment, at one point I was just holding my legs in the air awaiting instruction as to where I needed to put my feet…
2 seconds after finishing painting my nails she said: ‘what do you want to do now? Do you need to go or are you going to wait for the polish to dry?’
I was so confused… I told her I’ll, er, wait for the polish to dry!!
Overall the whole experience was one of the least relaxing I have ever had, I 100 percent didn’t feel pampered or like I was in ‘one of London’s best salons’
I will not be returning or recommending anyone else come here! Save your money and go elsewhere for a pedicure!
The 2 stars are for how pretty the salon looks and the fact that my nails were painted ok.

Poor business practice and unprofessional avoid this place

Laser hair beauticians aren't trained professionally they are trained in the spa, they do not hold a licence.
