Google Bad Review 1:  Studied HNC Construction & the Built Environment (Civil Engineering) on a Friday part time. This college is awful completely regret coming here!! from the very beginning we were messed around, enrolment for both years is a nightmare!
At the end of year 1 the teacher left but gave me the incorrect grade so now its my word against a teacher they can't contact then to top it off the teachers for year 2 seemed to have no idea about anything unless its in a published book or another teachers notes! The last 8 weeks its like all help has stop and assignments are being done with zero understanding (god forbid any of this come up in my career) Now we're into 5 weeks till term ends there just wasting time even when you have a question they can't help as since they don't have a clue.

The facilities are far below a decent standard, the computers never seem to work and internet connection is slow, their library is one of the loudest rooms i have ever been in let alone a library which closes at 1530 on a Friday thanks.

Google Bad Review (2):  It is a juvenile detention centre treating students with harsh punishment methods for things like exceeding your 30 seconds time allowed in toilet even if you have to do number 2! Some teachers drawn from police and army and frequently attach body camera to secretly film students even in toilets! Students are constantly monitored whilst in school and deprived of freely communicating with each other. So you see my point about detention centre. A lot of emphasis on punishment, detention, isolation than education. Headmistress is media obsessed, self centred authoritarian with over inflated sense of worth that shows you a superficial charm and glibness at parents evenings that take place once a year! Majority of staff lack empathy and display very shallow emotions and manipulative. Code of practice is similar to that of young offenders institutions. Think before moving your kids to this detention centre. However, it is suitable for kids looking to join the army and police.

This is a horrible disappointment of a sixth form college. My son started school 4 weeks ago and since then has been burdened with stress from this school. This resulting from the messed up timetable , teachers being incredibly stubborn. Extremely unforgiving and not helpful at all. They tried to put my son in a lower level of education simply because he couldn't meet the attendance standard. He tried to change one of his subjects he was supposedly struggling in but they rejected him as other the subject already full which is ridiculously untrue. Despite being a central London Sixth form college I have to say they are absolute failure in giving kids a effective and good education.

Google Bad Review (2):  This school makes sure they show they don’t care about mental health at all, they threaten you with being kicked out of school for not meeting attendance requirements disregarding the mental problems many students face at this school, people have defended themselves explaining their depression or anxiety and got the response “ well there are other people with bigger problems” the school is unorganised,. There have been up to 2-3 strikes a week for the past 3/4 weeks because the management teem is unorganised, this school has never been a positive learning environment but rather a building you go to in fear of failing in life

Google Bad Review (2):  Worst place to take IELTS. They are unrespectful and treat candidates as animals. No question allowed, no flexibility, just strict rules pretending to be excellent. In the waiting room (a corridor) there were only few plastic chairs whereas the area strictly reserved to the staff had sofas, of course empty. Can't really see the excellence over there.

Student at Reading college

I have 2 months remaining to finish my course but all of a sudden ‘Activate learning' chooses to block my entry from going in College. This is because of unpaid fees which I was never aware of and that too £1559.00 (already paid £90.00 for the kit which is part of the course) I was only told that I had to pay £500 which I agreed to pay.

Why didn't ‘Activate learning' give me notice or warning that I had fees to pay instead of leaving this late knowing that its too late for me not to pay.

I was very surprised when I received a call from one of your Staff members from ‘Activate learning' going through unpaid fees and other unclear information. He expected me to pay £1559.00 over a phone! Didn't feel comfortable as it sounded like some sort of Scam.

I mean like a student who lives on no income support and relies on a single parent who works and expects me to pay £1559.00 on the same day without me letting my parents know.

Google Bad Review 1:  Studied HNC Construction & the Built Environment (Civil Engineering) on a Friday part time. This college is awful completely regret coming here!! from the very beginning we were messed around, enrolment for both years is a nightmare!
At the end of year 1 the teacher left but gave me the incorrect grade so now its my word against a teacher they can't contact then to top it off the teachers for year 2 seemed to have no idea about anything unless its in a published book or another teachers notes! The last 8 weeks its like all help has stop and assignments are being done with zero understanding (god forbid any of this come up in my career) Now we're into 5 weeks till term ends there just wasting time even when you have a question they can't help as since they don't have a clue.

The facilities are far below a decent standard, the computers never seem to work and internet connection is slow, their library is one of the loudest rooms i have ever been in let alone a library which closes at 1530 on a Friday thanks.

Google Good Review:  Good College for vocational courses and it has good student support. It has a nice condensed timetable. However would not recommend for GCSE courses as it has few teachers and it changes everytime.
