Google Bad Review (2):  Great customer service, until things started to go wrong!

The pump malfunctioned almost straight away. They fixed it but the new one also broke. Two different pipes began leaking after a month, causing permanent water swelling in the walls. I also had to redecorate at great expense with no offer of compensation. Furthermore, the unit malfunctioned and was unusable.

The thing that really upset me and left me in tears was that, as soon as the leaks developed, the company immediately blocked my very polite calls and blocked/ignored all texts and emails from me. They even ignored my letters, which I was advised to post to them by the Citizens Advice Bureau prior to taking any case to the small claims court. I ended up not taking them to court as, if you’ve ever had to do this, you’ll know how time-consuming it is, and my family and I are very busy people.

I got another company to fix all the problems, at great expense. The other company was incredibly angry that Herts Aircon are allowed to trade after fitting a system like this so poorly. They also noticed other problems including low quality materials, poor pipework, missing lagging and a poor choice of pump which was inappropriate for the location and system. There are a lot of good aircon companies out there so take care you don’t end up with this one.

Update 10/10/21 (following response from the owner):
I am disappointed but unsurprised that the business response below offers nothing but obfuscation. To clarify:
– I had 3 independent engineers assess the work performed, and all independently communicated to me how poor the installation was and said the pump type used by the company was incorrect for that setting, suggesting it's not a result of product failure.
– I made over 20 attempts at contact with no response over a number of months by telephone, text, WhatsApp, and post.
– On at least 2 occasions I physically showed company representatives the damage caused including waterlogged electrical sockets and swollen walls/ceiling and asked for compensation. Each time I was told someone would get back to me and no one ever did.
– There is no chance the company is going to refund me thousands of pounds in compensation unless I remove my review, which I am not prepared to do given the anger and upset this company has caused me.
