Google Bad Review 1:  Ever since Shurguard took over city store it’s been a disaster.

Payments not transferred, with joyful letters from France demanding payment. Wonderful welcome for new customers.

Now their staff don’t turn up to open Chalk Farm, and not a single person at shurguard has a clue.

A sign of diabolical management optimised for returns.

Will be moving my goods out. Don’t have the time nor the inclination to deal with a company who can’t get the 101 right.

Google Bad Review (2):  I used this facility when it was A&A storage and Antonia was the best. Since Shurgard took it over it’s absolutely horrid place. So much so i had to leave due to the manager who is absolutely vile ( Steve ) the trolleys are useless as the front wheels don’t move, the upstairs doors are difficult to get thru, my key code didn’t work and Steve was very unhelpful/ condescending/ rude/ obnoxious/ I can’t express enough how nobody should use this storage facility, as I was moving out I got talking to a lady who was also moving out due to a price hike and having been disrespected by Steve too.

Since Shurgard took over this facility it’s become dire!

Sadly, I would not recommend safestore to anybody. My quote and unit reservation have mysteriously “disappeared” in the system as the demand grew higher, the boxes were not delivered on time, and the customer service was poor.

Hounded me with calls to choose their storage facility, on the day I dropped my stuff there, insisted on not giving me access to storage until proof of address, showed them my payslip. Yet they insisted they wanted a letter. Having in mind my letters/statements were tucked deep down in moving truck. Assured them i'll show them once items are offloaded and i can reach for it. Inshort it was hell. Spent nearly 2 hours doing registration before i was given access to a storage unit. Something that should have taken me a few minutes ended up costing me 2 hrs extra for man & van service. To cut the long story short they also closed down my account with no notification that they were going to or that they did. Only realized when i called to speak to them about paying for missed 1 months payment and staff was being passive aggressive.To make matters worse, their store manager is just as equally rude. Would never use again or recommend to anyone.

Google Bad Review (2):  Can appreciate that during a pandemic that precautions are required, but when rat droppings are found in an out building that refusal to move anything due to health and safety, when no ppe was worn a bit strong, and since I lost an awful amount of tools would not recommend them, when simply wearing disposable gloves would suffice. I do not know of any outbuilding, shed or external storage that has not been visited by rodents. They gave the impression that they didn't want to carry out the works due to part time workers having to return to shifts and the time scale of the job.

Google Bad Review (2):  I have previously used access storage on the a Purley Way and found it to be good service with helpful staff. I have also used other facilities and intended to return following experience with said other faculties. But I will absolutely NOT do so now given the rude ignorant behaviour of the current manager when I requested another quote. He called me back to check details on my request but did not allow me to ask questions, was pathetically misogynistic and extremely rude when I wanted to clarify the quote with him. Horrendous behaviour. Why subject yourself to such an attitude, no thank you. My neighbours and I won’t be.

Google Bad Review (2):  I’ve been a safe storage customer for 8 months @ the Camden location, I live a good walking distance from the storage unit so I usually bring my dog in with me. Today I went in to speak about upgrading my locker to a bigger one and the NEW Manager said he needed me to drop my dog back home and come back without it to continue our conversation. Which is was #1 VERY rude and the tone was horrible and #2 he told me dogs weren’t allowed. I brang in my dog every single time I went to my locker. To the point their clients who used the lockers recognise my dog and would come pet it and speak to us. He really wanted to show his authority and control as he didn’t even suggest having a CALL about this. He SPECIFICALLY wanted me to drop my dog and come back. Horrible customer service.. by a manager nonetheless. Kudos to the older team at safestorage. I hope head office can see this and realise how horrible my experience was and how awesome the old team was (especially Solomon)
