Google Bad Review: Not impressed. There are some very nice staff here but my wife and I felt let down by this Nursery. We took our child out of here and they have been so much happier since. For balance, I have to say the facilities are good as is their approach to diversity (albeit somewhat superficial). The worst thing we found was our child often looked sad when we picked them up, and unclean, which we did not like. Staff also used to complete assessments without collaborating with us and they judge all of the children against one scale. In other words, this Nursery does not embrace individuality. Many of the things they judged our child low on they were actually strong at but just did not demonstrate this at the Nursery. The Nursey trades on its Ofstead ‘outstanding' rating but please do not read too much into that. The Nursery manipulates feedback from parents. I worked with the Office for National Statistics and showed a member of its staff an email from Sherrington in which they were firmly telling parents what scores to give them, and they were pretty shocked. I know parents who have children here and like it. I can only share my experience. Some of the staff can occasionally come across a little aggressive (without meaning to) and perhaps my child (2 years old) was just a little too sensitive to adapt and just more comfortable in smaller groups. In summary, some really nice staff, good facilities and capable of being a very good Nursery, but lots of work to do before it can genuinely suggest it is close to being ‘outstanding'.
