Google Bad Review:  The worst estate agent I have ever dealt with, if I could give 1/2 a star I would.

Having chosen them for their local knowledge, history, and family tradition, I felt an instant connection and was confident that they would sell my flat without too many problems, how wrong could I have been?

Two viewings over a 6 month period, and one of those I did myself, as the prospective buyer was running slightly late. Rather than lose a possible sale should the buyer not have been able to, or wanted to reschedule, I offered to do the viewing, as the representative from Stanford Estates was more keen to get to his next appointment. I suggested that I should be entitled to the commission if a successful sale was made, they thought I was joking, I wasn't!

If you have family or friends living in Australia, to which I am lucky to have, you will also benefit from those nearest and dearest telling you your property was taken off the market without your knowledge.
The Director of Stanford Estates will tell you that they emailed you, phone calls are so yesterday!, saying that they will take this action should they not hear from you, obviously not aware that emails don't always leave individuals Outbox's or the wonders of technology occasionally mean emails are not received. For the record I did check my In-box, Junk, Spam, even my letter-box, but alas no notification, perhaps a carrier pigeon is bringing this very important piece of news to me, or the term ‘snail mail' has been taken literally by this agency??

They will justify their poor service and unprofessional behaviour, offering every excuse under the sun why the property is not selling, including an expectation it is your job to chase them on how the sale is going, maybe a career change is in the offering for you if you adopt this advice, as I pondered after this startling revelation.

Try another agency like Reeds Rains, or maybe like me, you will make the unfortunate decision to choose Stanford Estates at your peril!

Google Bad Review (2):  TIME WASTERS
I booked a valuation of my flat with someone named Jack. He spent less than five minutes in my home, I had to insist that he actually go out into the garden and look at it, he said it wasn't necessary. He told me he wasn't sure what it was worth and would need to ask someone back at the office and get back to me. He didn't explain their pricing, how they would market my flat, nothing. Didn't even leave a business card. And no one ever called me back with the valuation. Complete waste of time.
