Google Bad Review 1:  Why one star? Because zero stars were not an option. Have bought and sold many many properties for over 30 years, this is by far the worst I have come across. How the reviews are so high is beyond me. This solicitors took 6 months to do the conveyancing on a flat with no chain. It took them 3 months to read a contract!!! There was no urgency, would not return calls and wouldn't complete on the property unless it was a time and date that suited them! They've been an absolute joke in my opinion and use them at your peril. Don't believe all you read on these reviews and would question if they are actually legit. Plenty of good solicitors out there so choose wisely!

Further to your deflective response claiming no knowledge, unless there is another Gary Josephs working for a solicitors in London with exactly the same email address, I think I've got the correct place – thanks. Not very nice is it when the boot is on the other foot.

I couldn't be clearer to people using your services – don't.

Google Bad Review (2):  We retained Gary's services for the purchase of our new hone in Autumn 2019. Sadly our experience of Nelsons solicitors was a poor one…
Contrarily to their website claims (and assurances during initial meeting) that they are proactive, pragmatic and easy to deal with, we found them very unresponsive: Gary was very hard to get hold of, his office never acknowledge emails we sent them so we did not know whether they had received them let alone were acting on them, they did not copy us on anything they were doing/correspondence with the sellers' solicitors so yet again had no idea what was going on. It took a lot of emailing, calling and face to face visits to keep things moving even though our transaction was pretty straight forward…

They also claim that they will inform, guide and advise you along the way, for instance helping you understand the implications of taking up a joint mortgage, arranging trust deeds, discussing will implications, etc.. Again, this was not the case and we have since had to engage another solicitor to arrange all of these peripheral yet important matters…

In conclusion, we had to manage -if not drag them through- the whole process. This is a shame, especially as, when ‘on the case' Gary's advice was useful and he did pick up on a couple of point that were important. However, his chronic lack of proactiveness was frustrating at best hence I cannot recommend Nelson's services unless you are happy/prepared to go at their own (slow) pace/ have no timeframe we are working to.
To be clear, we were looking to exchange in two months and complete in three so do not believe we were ‘unreasonable' in our ask…
