Upon arrival found we were just sitting in the pub, paid £560 for food for 15 people. Food cold, small portions, very variable, just awful. Have and could have done better at home. Paid £60 service charge!!! Ouch for absolutely no service beyond picking up plates or dropping them on a table! In the pub! Day light robbery. Be warned.

Google Bad Review (2):  Lying bar staff – on 21.4.22 the bar staff made a simple mistake of charging me for another customers drinks. Instead of simply voiding the transaction and starting again the female who served me denied she'd served me and her male colleague told the manager I “didn't know what I was on about “. Fortunately, I was able to pull up my online banking and the prove staff made a mistake.

I can't fault the manager, she was lovely and quickly resolved the issue. However, the dismissive and lying bar staff means I'll never return.

Google Bad Review 1:  AVOID! Shockingly rude landlady. Ugh.
As a ‘local' over the years I have been to this pub many times… always fine… not great, but fine… We enjoy a drink and in the summer it's nice to stand out front of the pub in the sun.
This last Tuesday I came in the landlady was awful. We were clearly there to buy drinks and lunch, but she made it VERY CLEAR that the toilets upstairs weren't to be used. I was embarrassed–I had brought friends here to show them the food and hospitality and (if we were lucky) the pub cat… and the landlady belittled me in front of all of them–she made serious agro because some of my friends wanted to go to the loo before we ordered food and drinks.
I have spent many evenings at this pub, but never again. Go to one of the many alternatives near by.

Google Bad Review (2):  As a pre-covid frequenter, I'm sorely disappointed.

We ordered a steak (which was incredibly overcooked and chewy), a bangers and mash that was bland (don't get my started on the watery, waste of time gravy), and a burger (you guessed it, bland and dry!)

We tried to redeem the meal with desserts. Seriously, go to Tesco and spend the time cooking (or microwaving) your own desserts.

I'm not sure what's happened to this place, post-covid, but I won't be coming back. Ever.

Google Bad Review (2):  Not just any old Farrier, but the original Robbing Farrier.
I don't often complain but today I've had good reason to do so. We stopped here for a drink, a large Chardonnay and a Guinness, cost £12.50, for Camden Market I was quite pleasantly surprised as £5 for Guinness and £7.50 for a large wine is not unusual. The second Chardonnay was then £6.90, apparently it was happy hour, but what an actual p#sstake when the next round came to £15.50. When I questioned the barmaid she said she'd check what we'd previously been charged, and returned with the reply that the other 2 were different bottles, however the barman told me that there was only one and that was £10.50 a glass. Just be careful of this place they obviously charge what they like. The only thing they said was that if we had another one we could have it at the lower price. Had it been that price from the start I may have winced but carried on. Needless to say they won't catch me or again.

Google Bad Review (2):  Went for after work drinks at 6pm as this is our new local and we have been a couple of times before. We arrived as a group of 15 and ordered indivually – which is what we have done before as there is no clear system on how to order you just have to flag one of the two waitresses down who are the only ones serving outside. We ordered 2 rounds of drinks before they then kicked our whole group out and refused to serve us because we payed individually instead of 1 person paying for all 15, in their words “I'm not your personal waitress” – which is a shame because we were perfectly polite and offered to pay in whatever way was best for them, additionally, this is how every other customer was ordering. The sole waitress inside also announced she was quitting to customers. Very rude staff and such a shame.

Very disappointed after 5 years of loyalty. Recommend other pubs that haven't sold out!
