Google Bad Review:  Utterly disgusted by the manager at Sam 99 on 25/6/19 at the Barking store at around 5pm! I had purchased some dishes which I was finding difficult to carry due to an injured arm.

I requested to be able to use their basket type trolley to take the dishes to my car. The manager said I couldn't take the trolley so, I asked if he would be kind enough to help me carry the dishes to my car. He asked me where my car was and when I told him it was in the Barking shopping centre car park, he refused to help me carry the items! I asked again, ‘please can I take the trolley, I'll bring it back in 10 mins', the manager kept saying no and said, ‘people just keep taking the trolleys and we don't have many left' (which I do understand)

The difference here was, I was asking him if I can take it and telling him I'll bring it back in 10 mins!! I WAS NOT WALKING OUT WITH IT! I then suggested he comes with me so he can take the trolley back himself, again he said no AGAIN!!

After watching me talk to him, one of the cashiers then said, do you have ID, give me your ID then you can take the trolley. I said I don't have any ID on me, so she said,' you have a phone, leave the phone here, then you can take the trolley'. I had no option as I needed the items, I had purchased, I gave the cashier my £500 phone and took the ‘disgusting, dirty, £2 basket trolley' and returned it after 10 mins! My blood and brain was boiling by the time I got to the car park that I had to leave my phone in their shop as collateral, for a £2 trolley that I was going to bring back anyway!!!

A very unhelpful, unsympathetic and selfish manager who can't see the difference between and honest person ‘asking permission' to those who just walk out with the trolleys to nick them! Idiot!!
