Google Bad Review 1:  I’ve been reading all the positive reviews, and it’s good that a number of people have been satisfied with the service. However, my experience was vastly different to those of the positive reviewers.
I was greeted more with suspicion than a welcome. When I was trying to play a piano in the showroom, the sales assistant reprimanded me for apparently overusing the damper pedal, and proceeded to lecture me on the history of the key / hammer action inside modern pianos. Overall their attitude and approach to me was more than a little dismissive and sniffy.
Another piano showroom that feels more like a funeral parlour.

Google Bad Review (2):  I have been looking for a new 6’ grand piano for a while and I brought my brother over from
Oslo to help me make a decision. Having had good experiences with Schimmel pianos in the past, we decided to audition them at Peregrine’s. Unfortunately, the woman who served us was so rude and unaccommodating that, even if were to decide to purchase a Schimmel (which costs over £30,000), I would make sure I did so at another dealer. Having played a Chopin nocturne and Schubert impromptu, I decided to try some Granados. This was short-lived, as two bars in I was told I “couldn’t play like that” as playing forte would put the piano out of tune. Not a great advertisement for the brand and not suitable for a pianist that does play some loud passages occasionally (if directed to do so by the composer). I promised to play softly, but was shut down again, this time as “people are working upstairs”. So, not really a suitable location for a piano showroom either. Despite the invitation to return another time, I shall decline. This was the worst service one could ever imagine from a piano dealer, and I’ve been to good many. Avoid at all costs.

Google Bad Review 1:  Such a bad experience with the staff of this place. It was my first time coming here, I obviously don’t know how they operate, I asked if I could have a look to the practice rooms that they have. I asked twice and they said yes of course go downstairs. I went there and as a pianist I’m used to play the pianos before I hire a room, this man came downstairs and said that I couldn’t do that in a really rude way, if you want pay for the room and then play (?) I told him that I wanted to hire a room but wanted to compare the 2 pianos that they have.
Never will go back to this place. Hope the staff read this review and never treat another person the way this old man treated me.

Never experienced anything like this before!

Google Bad Review (2):  Dropped for an hour’s practice on my way back from a lovely recital in Prague – talk about coming back down to earth. I had an uneasy feeling from the moment I was abruptly asked to tap my card, without any mention of the price. Constant drilling above the practice room, one note not damping at all. I asked on the way out how they could justify £15 for such conditions. I was bluntly told that that was cheap compared to other places and maybe I should find somewhere else. Very sound advice… If that really is as cheap as he says, I guess you get what you pay for.
