Google Bad Review 1: It was a family visit. We decided to go an eat at Aladin for the first time after being recommended from a friend. Unfortunately it was a distater. It was our first and last visit. It was very busy and seemed like a guys night out.It didn't feel like an atmosphere suitable for families. There were 3 members of staff walking around managing both ends of seating area and one man behind a counter taking payments and phone calls. The staff member serving us placed hot plates (which was good), cutlery salad, sauces and wet glasses on our table. We ordered starters:Chicken wings,Reshmi kebabs, Seekh kebabs and chicken tikka.All these 4 dishes tasted the same; same spices used.The food was luke warm.Not sizzling hot or hot. Chicken wings were cold inside. Both kebabs were hard and i think they either used some flour or potatoes in the mix. The tikka was also hard and tasteless. All these dishes were as if they had already been pre cooked and then just heated and brought to the table when ordered. After this, i wanted to leave but as the mains had already been ordered and everyone was hungry, we stayed put. The mains were: Lamb biryani, Karachi speciL Haleem and Lamb korma, naans and tandoor roti. Birynai was dry and the meat was even dryer. The korma was not korma, the masal was over cooked, so dark and so oily. Very poor presentation. The korma tasted like one of the masalas which i usually use to cook biryani; Laziza Masala. I think these masalas were used as the biryani and the korma tasted the same. The haleem needed more time. The lentils part of the haleem needed more time to cook. We were able to taste that it wasn't cooked and it also had a burnt taste to it. Naans and roti were fine. The desert was Falooda which was also fine which is why I gave 1 star. The paans were the worst we had ever had. The customer service sucked. After ordering, it was hard to get any attention from someone to give us water, more sauce or tissue or to bring our mains out after waiting for sometime. And there was just non stop whinning about the attitude of the staff by the man behind the counter. Also there was this awful drain smell coming from behind the counter area as soon as a lady started washing glasses behind the counter.We didn't manage to eat all our starters and our mains. The whole family was shocked at the poor service and at the food. I am no chef. I have only been cooking for years but i can say confidently that i can cook better than whoever made these dishes! It was a very disappointing experience and we will not be recommending or dinning there again. Was total waste if our money. We were better of eating at the royal nawab instead!
