Google Bad Review 1: This is a cowboy business. I booked through hotels.com having liked the look of the room. When I got there, I realised that there was no reception, and that everything was to be done by email. I noticed I had already received an email asking me to provide an image of my passport which was fine but also a link to a random payment website I had never seen before in order to deposit the money for my security bond. I was not willing to do this. I was told that as a good will gesture that I could cancel my booking and that I would be issued with a full refund that the business would make hotels.com aware of. On consultation with hotels.com, I was told that with each correspondence with Capital Host, hotels.com were told that no such agreement was made and that no offer of a full refund had been made. I've now been waiting for a month for a refund that the hotel continues to deny they offered me that I actually have evidence of on email. If you value honesty and decency, please avoid this hotel. I can only imagine that if I've had these issues what getting your deposit back would be like.
*Update*
In response to the unhelpful owner, I have stayed at many self contained apartments and never experienced this. My most recent one was a few weeks prior in Vienna. What I have never been asked to do was pay a security deposit by way of a link given in an email which didn't look 100% safe. The fact that I'd have to do this wasn't made clear on hotels.com so I suggest you make it clearer. Besides all of that, it wasn't my main issue. My main issue is that I've now been waiting a month for my own money to be returned to me after being told I would be entitled to it. This whole thing is being prolonged thanks to lies and games being played by your business. It's not on.

Google Bad Review (2): Sincerely I can’t really believe the previous 5* reviews unless they have been written by the owner, it’s the only way it makes sense.
The whole building is old and my apartment, cold, old and not in the best conditions. Windows didn’t close, no toilet paper, toilet in bad conditions and with no heating at all which makes having a shower a complete challenge.
During the night it happened to be really noisy, I don’t know the reason, but it was like being in a college party at the street and in the building itself.
It took a couple of weeks to get my 200GBP deposit back and I needed to insist.
On the other hand, when I read in previous reviews that it takes 15 min walk to Oxford street I really think someone is not being honest here. It’s in Euston for God shake! You can’t hardly reach Picadilly in 15 minutes by tube!!! This apartment is only well located if you need to travel by train from Kings Cross or St. Pancrass.
Having said all that. It’s true that the apartment is really affordable. But be realistic on what to expect with what you have paid.
