Google Bad Review:  Absolutely disgraceful – my mother who I visited on a daily basis was admitted to Charing Cross Hospital after being sent there for a routine check whilst recovering at this ‘nursing centre'. I found this out the following day when I arrived to visit her at lunch time and to my shock, she was not there and initially no one appeared to know where she was! No one had even tried to contact me to advise me that she had been admitted to and kept in hospital the previous afternoon after my visit. In addition, they lied and said they had called and left messages, until they realised that phone records would prove this not to be the case. We have the emails to prove this lie and then the backtracking and admission that regrettably there had been an oversight and I had not been contacted either that evening, or even the following morning. I went straight to the hospital to find that my mother had been kept in due to severe dehydration where she remained remained for months. She never recovered from her experience and the neglect suffered. The manager, full of apologies called me in for a meeting. He agreed that I could remove my mother with immediate effect ie I would not be charged the months notice required. This had been paid up front at a cost of £1700 per week. Needless to say we never received this back and despite chasing, we never heard from them again. It was not about the money, it was the complete lack of care and dignity with which my mother was treated that was so sickening. Whether The Chiswick Nursing Home will contact either myself or my sister to discuss this post, remains to be seen. My mothers date of birth is 10.4.30 – initials MDM. Oh and by the way, they ‘lost' all her clothes due to a ‘problem with the laundry'. My mother – a size 6 was put in a size 18 strappy nightdress which exposed everything – I was told in the meeting with the manager by the head nurse concerned ‘well at least we put her in something rather than leave her naked'. And this sums them up. The incredible guilt I feel in leaving my mother in this cruel institution will never leave me. BE WARNED.
