Google Bad Review 1: This branch provides very poor service. Constantly changing staff, rude, uncaring nurses. They've cancelled my cats' vaccination boosters last month at short notice. I've been waiting for over two days for fleaing treatment to be dispensed. It's not easy yo deal with them. Poor, poor service. Already complained to the H/O once and I'm surely going to do it again. This branch can't manage the demand, simple requests and their time well when compared to the other branches. Needs a change in management, someone with more experience and care.

Google Bad Review (2): Be very careful bringing your pet here.
It can be a very emotional and vulnerable time, when your pet is showing signs of illness. During this time it is only fair to expect a vet to provide high quality, ethical care as well as reassurance that they know what they're doing.
Sadly this was not the case at Medivet Finchley/Hendon in our experience.
Our story begins when we brought our cat here for a checkup, he was given his immunisation jabs and we were told he was very fit and healthy. Great! we thought until about 1-2 weeks later, where he started to display a concerning change in behaviour- facing the wall, not cleaning himself as thoroughly, complete loss in appetite and not being as lively as he was normally.
After about a week of this, we decided to call Medivet Finchley for advice, where we were strongly advised to bring him in for a check. I did follow this advice and on bringing him in, the vet displayed concern that since his checkup, he lost a lot of weight and mentioned that he had a possible diagnosis of FIV. We were told he needed admittance and monitoring/further tests. Here we were asked about our insurance and the details were passed on. Our initial quote was £1000 for the tests.
The next day, we were contacted by the vet, who mentioned that she had good news and bad news. The good news being that she found out what was wrong with our cat (an intestinal blockage) and the bad news was that the only option to save him would be surgery. She was insistent that urgent surgery was the only way to save him, giving us little time to think it over and there was little explanation of the operation itself or of the risks involved. I was told that the price of treatment would be around £3000, without clarification that this may be in addition to the initial quote given for the tests. Fearing a life and death situation as it was portrayed to me, I gave the go ahead for surgery without being given time to think it over.
The surgery was carried out and after a telephone conversation post- surgery, the vet confirmed that no intestinal blockage was found and that they were waiting for some further test results to confirm a diagnosis, a complete change in the certainty that was portrayed prior to having the surgery. Instead, she took some biopsies (tissue samples) and sent them over to a lab for testing.
A couple of days passed (with our cat in recovery so still with Medivet) waiting for the test results and on discussion she mentioned that another possible diagnosis could be depression, as we had recently lost our older cat (at around 15 years). We agreed to collect our cat from them at this point and the test results still hadn't come.
After about a week or two at home, our cat thankfully recovered and is now back to his normal self. We were still not given a clear diagnosis after the test results.
The whole bill amounted to just under £5000 for only tests and a misinformed surgery (as well as the hospitalisation related to this). Overall an appalling standard of care!
Fortunately we were insured (although that only covered about half the cost) otherwise it would have been difficult to pay it all off!
It makes me question if we were not insured, would they have done all these tests, were they even necessary?
Would we have been better just keeping our cat at home?
This whole ordeal has made me very reluctant to bring my cat into a vet again. Well, I certainly will not be bringing him here again!
