Google Bad Review (2):  This shop is really weird. I took my engagement ring to be repaired (snapped band), to be told that the repair guy wasn't going to be in until the following Saturday (i.e. 1.5 weeks away). As I had been waiting months anyway for the shops to reopen, I decided to go for it in spite of the long lead time, and was told it would be ready by the Monday morning. When I went in to collect it on the appointed day, the male proprietor couldn't find it anywhere, and after a lot of hanging around, informed me that the repair man had taken it home, and hadn't returned it yet, and to come back the next day. (This was incredibly annoying as they don't open til 10am and I'd had to delay my morning in order to go in.) When I went back to pick it up and tried to put it on, it was covered in black residue which got all over my hands (silver polish apparently), and the repairer had shrunk it so it wouldn't fit on my finger. The male proprietor helpfully suggested I “try it on a different finger”, which may be the most stunningly stupid suggestion possible for a jeweller to make about an engagement ring. All round rubbish experience.
