Google Bad Review 1:  Isadly have to agree with the poor comments made here. I should have realised it was not a good sign when they sent out an appointment for my son but there was no appointment on the actual day. This then follows with my son's consultation where after 15 mins the Dr. who sees my son feels he does not need the medication. After consultation he feels my son should have a heart scan which we carry out on the same day. Then when we ask our GP for his medication they say they have no record of his medication after continuously calling and noone picking up apparently my son getsmedication through the post yet the GP is saying no he cant jave them. This is a diabolical service!

Google Bad Review (2):  There are some corrupt individuals working for this essential service. Our mother was refused patches with a justification that didn’t make sense. We all knew it was because patches are more expensive than the four pills a day that she couldnt manage.The bosses at the Memory clinic refused to clarify and then closed ranks to make it very difficult for us to ask questions or receive answers. Even a freedom of information request,which as understand it to be within our rights,was not actioned and only a verbal report was offered by a very belligerent male. When asked to answer questions, his aggressive response was that he didn’t want to ‘banter’ with me and everytime I tried to speak he immediately shut me down. You can’t even write a review on the NHS website for this service!

We just don’t understand how they can give my mum’s GP the responsibility for making the diagnosis and for prescribing her medication but when she needs to change it, then it’s only the director of this service that can do this.

If that wasn’t enough, the chief herself wrote a letter to my mum’s doctor and in the letter she said that I had refused to agree to any meetings which is categorically not true. I told her I might not be able to attend, depending on the time of the appointment but that she could either make an appointment to go and see her at her house or make an appointment at the surgery to see her there. She did neither; she actually turned up unannounced at her house and only my eldest son was there. If we’d known she was coming, my son could have asked her to stay in. I then received a letter
( which was also sent to other institutions) which stated an appointment had been made via email and a follow up phone call by someone I have never spoken to or heard of. She said that we hadn’t turned up for the meeting that never was.When I contacted this person who supposedly made the imaginary appointment, she didn’t respondto my email or my voicemail. No proof of the email that was supposedly sent was given… They are are just so bold in the their deceitfulness.

This service is a lifeline for the elderly and these controlling individuals are preventing dementia sufferers from accessing vital care and medication. My mother has been without medication since summer 2018 and is fading quickly. They are without compassion and have no care for these vulnerable people they should be serving. Not to realise that someone with dementia might not be able to cooperate with appointments is frankly ignorant. Additionally the fact that they seem to not be unanswerable to anyone ensures that they can do whatever they please. Very Worrying.
