Google Bad Review (2):  I booked this week in advance for my partners birthday. I asked if I could bring a cake and I received an e-mail back that there would be a £5 per person cake charge, this is shocking as I have never known a restaurant (especially a high end one as I've been to many) that require a £5 per person “Cake charge” to replace the desserts not purchased. May I also add we spent just under £500, I'm sure Bombay Bustle could have allowed us to bring a cake out of courtesy.

Anyway this wasn’t the biggest issue, I responded to the e-mail and said ‘its fine I don’t be bringing a cake’. On arrival the first thing I was reminded of was the £5 per person cake charge when I was standing next to my partner, we didn’t even bring a cake in the end despite and responding to the e-mail I don’t know why your staff felt they needed to remind me, this obviously gave away any form of surprise to my partner who was standing next to me, now I understand it was an honest mistake by the staff so I didn’t want to upset the person who said this to us, I just felt she could have been a bit mindful but anyway, once again this wasn’t the biggest issue…

The main issue was the lady who attended to us downstairs, I didn’t catch her name but she was Caucasian with blond hair tied in a bun…she had no manners and constantly rushed us, she said we only had a 2 hour slot and needed to order quickly or she would be forced to move us… This made me feel incredibly uncomfortable, no only had no one told us about this “2 hour slot” but to be told we'd be “forced to move” really shocked me. This whole experience is such a shame and could have easily been avoided, the food was good and the place is lovely but the staff were shocking. I was honestly so taken back by the poor attitude of the 2 ladies we had to deal with I didn’t even complain, we just ate and got out of there. I cannot recommend this restaurant based on the customer service.

Google Bad Review 1:  I saw the offer of 30% off on Facebook for Colonel Saab restaurant. I called the restaurant to find out whether the offer I had seen on Facebook was valid on our visit to the restaurant and the person on the other end of the phone said yes. I called the restaurant on the day of our booking as we did not have the voucher but only the screenshot. The person on the other end said that he would accept the screenshot as the voucher as there is no mention of the voucher anywhere on their website when clicking the link.

When we sat on the table, I mentioned about the discount to the waiter and he said ‘Fine'. Finally we got the bill with no discount taken off. I told them that I had a discount. They asked me to show my phone. The waiter took my phone to the manager. The manager said the discount is only available if we book a table via their website. Absolutely nowhere does it mention on the link on fb that the booking needs to be made on the website. I clicked on the link and it takes you to the website with no mention of the discount anywhere on the website. The GM refused to honour the discount and inspite of explaining that his staff had agreed the screenshot to be used as a voucher, he wasn't willing to budge. After much embarrassing discussion they gave us £20 off the bill which wasnt even the 30%. Anyway,I'm definitely not going there again and will never recommend it to anyone either. In the end a positive experience turned into a negative experience.

Waiter tried to persuade us to stay but we were already hesitant about hygiene in restaurants due to my wife being pregnant and of course the Covid situation. One plate fine, but both? They had green dirt on them. Really disappointing as was looking forward to it. I wouldn't eat off such dirty plates at home let alone in a restaurant. Wouldnt expect this from such a high profile name.

of this restaurant is very poor. Where do I start? Have orderd Daal, sabzi bhaji and chicken
Surprisingly, the sabzi bhaji was not even near to how it should be and the taste of the daal was not upto the mark.
However, the chicken was not able to eat because it was not cooked propely. They deliver the undercooked chicken which is not good for the health at all.
In short the experience was terrible!!!!

Google Bad Review 1:  I’ve dined here before several times and have never been disappointed on this instance the standards have slipped immensely and thought this experience should warrant a review !
Being fair the food was good, BUT respectfully a word of advice to the chef your Old Delhi butter chicken was too runny and was fishing for the chicken. Definitely not worth £24.00, suggest you visit India and get your recipe right !
I was given a window in order to finish my food the moment my time ran out the lovely attentive waiters and waitresses became somewhat unfriendly.
And was ushered downstairs for our deserts and assured someone would attend to us either at the bar or to a table to finish off our evening. We accepted as being totally honest we were late by 15 minutes and had advised them in advance. Hands up our fault ! We stood around like nobody’s and were ignored for 10 minutes !
Enough was enough we went upstairs and asked for our bill and expressed our disappointment and got a simple shrug from a lovely waitress and paid the bill in full and in good faith and left. The manager could not be bothered to walk over and be courteous and speak to us noticing we were dissatisfied.
Jamavar management you need to be smart and deal with the little issues with your business rather than shrug and rush your customers regardless if we are regulars, big spenders or a Bollywood actor who have only been once to your establishment. Keep humble during these difficult times, I’ve always spoken highly of your restaurant and recommended you but you’ve let yourselves down today immensely !!
I’ve spoken my mind and please kindly refrain from giving me a pathetic response as you have done to all your other previous dinners who have taken the time out to leaving an honest review of their experience. I am doing this to help others from having to waste their money and valuable time and to enjoy themselves elsewhere and where they will be appreciated.

Google Bad Review 1:  My first review and unfortunatly a bad one… Agree to dave's review. This is the second bad experience i've had with her. First time i went in the afternoon and she was playing on the gambling machine. My friends rang the bell several times and she didn't take any notice. When i told her, she finished her game and then opened the door. She constantly pressures people for drinks and yes there was a fly in my collegues drink and she argued and charged us for a replacement. I was a regular till i moved out the area and uncle is a very nice man but his wife is a different story. She is very rude and very bossy, i spoke to a few regulars who i used to drink with and they have moved to other places because of the lady. I felt very embarassed in front of my boss and collegue as i recomended this place for our companies annual christmas dinner.

Google Bad Review (2):  Very bad experience. I went sunday for a specail music night. I have been a regular customer for years. I was sitting in the corner enjoying music and the lady owner came to me and said i can't sit here for so long and only have 1 drink. If i was in restuarent i would understand, but i was in bar. It was very sad as other people hear what she say. Luckly i was recording a song on my mobile phone and have a recording of her telling me off. I have shown to my kids they are going to take action against gymkhana for being forceful to a ill man. I will never recommend anyone to gymkhana

Google Bad Review 1:  I have ordered from there before, didn’t have any problem. But this one time I ordered from there and the driver delivered a completely different order from a different postcode. I called the driver & he said the restaurants gave the wrong bag. I called the restaurant and they’ve completely denied it & said the driver took two bags & switched the order. Then they said the driver actually took one bag but took the wrong bag. Firstly they’re not taking accountability of their Actions, then the worker was defensive. They were blaming the driver and haven’t apologised for once for their mistakes. This has to be one of the worse experiences I had with a restaurant worker. I understand I get a refund from UberEats but the service charge I paid for was a waste. I was more angry because my little sister was really excited for the food but she couldn’t eat anything. She got upset and never had dinner.
