Google Bad Review 1: I'm surprised at all the reviews here and based on them, decided to check these Opticians out for my father, who is a 70+ diabetic in need of an eye test. Was given the early morning appointment at 09:30, which according to their web should've lasted about an hour or so for a ‘fully comprehensive' check. I dropped him there and said would comeback later to pick him up. Was surprised to find him out in about 15mins later being asked to choose one of the many expensive frames on sale there for his new lenses! He said he had a newish pair already and would decide later/shop around and was then given another appointment to come in 4 days time with a decision. No prescription was handed out then. The optician even charged £35 for a scan which was supposedly done, unknowingly! (I later learnt that such scans cost £10 with some high street chains). The prescription handed out after 4 days of the test didnt provide any recommendations on the type of glasses or any other followups, perhaps because the lenses/frames were not ordered from them. Thought the independent shops would be much different and personal than the high street chains, who deploy these sale antics but alas all the same!

Google Bad Review (2): I visited this Opticians today and asked them if they would conduct a pd. This is a 5 min exercise to measure the distance between my pupils. There were NO customer and 5 staff just chatting. To my amazement the optician point blank refused to help me. He said this was for customers only. IF I WAS A CUSTOMER I WOULD NOT NEED THIS MEASUREMENT – the optician must of known this – very silly and bad service. I could have been their customer. To nobbish. If you were waiting for the next appoint ment then why does it take 5 people?
