Google Bad Review 1:  Please make sure to ask them about cancellation of your insurance policy. As they will literally fob you off with nonsense of read your terms and conditions. Who reads the fine print. If you cancel your policy within 3 months they keep 50 percent of your yearly policy. I paid 2750 upfront for the year to save myself some money. Decided to change profession. Sold my cab and now I'm being told I will lose 50 to 60 percent for cancelling. That's a rip off and out of order. It's disgusting practice and theft. How do they justify the extortionate fees I wonder.

They seemed like a really good travel insurance policy at the time, I didn’t get asked any questions whatsoever. I read they don’t pay out for an existing condition. Once my mom went to the hospital on an emergency in the Uk . They asked about medication she takes and once they found out she takes blood pressure medication they refused to pay or do anything to help my mom ended up with 4 thousand pounds bill with the hospital just for a angiogram and 5 stay in the hospital . I had to take my 2 kids of school and take her back to do it at home . It was so stressful I wouldn’t wish it to anyone . Plz before u buy any insurance make sure u ask about any medication or what’s insured as they don’t tell u . All they want is the money and they can do whatever they want if u want to claim, I don’t recommend this company trust me from an experience.

Google Bad Review 1:  I have a similar experience to the review by Mark Sheene. This is my fourth year with Fish, the first two years were very reasonable at less than £240 with a slight reduction in the second year. I was super happy.

I had a small claim with no other party (less than £1600), but despite having protected no-claims the renewal for 2016 came up at £315, an increase of 33%.

For 2017 it has jumped to £526, an increase of another 66%, despite having moved to a rural area with no recorded crime and all our other car insurance policies being unchanged in price.

I called to query it and it immediately fell to £390. Unable to adequately explain why it was north of £500 to begin with, and unable to explain why it's more than last year. Just the same guff as last year about tax and underwriting rates having gone up by a smidge.

Beware also that their cover for a replacement car with hand controls is next to worthless. Their daily allowance for car hire is measly and they don't arrange it, you have to do it yourself. The company they recommended when my car was in for repair was in the Liverpool area and rates were over twice as much as the allowance per day, plus delivery and return on top. So I managed with no car. A complete waste of time, I should have cancelled last year but was too busy to go looking for an alternative.

In my experience then, the firm is no benefit to me as a disabled person despite all the hype and I'd suggest just insure with a normal firm that has better rates. That's my move this year (2017) and I won't be going back.

Same thing happened with my wheelchair insurance – very happy for a couple of years and then it got more expensive than the composition so I blew them out several years ago.

If there was an option to give a zero star rating that's what I'd pick.

Google Bad Review (2):  Hello, I wanted to let everyone know about what seems to me like extremely dubious practices by Fish Insurance, the so-called ‘disabled insurance specialists'. I have insured my car with them for two years, the last premium being over £800pa (which I assumed was reasonable due to needing cover for any driver over 25). This year the quoted renewal price was over £1000,an increase of 23% which prompted me to look elsewhere. A search on a comparison website resulted in a price of £268.00 for identical cover (identical save for no automatic European cover which I do not need – and surely cannot explain away the fact that this is ~£800 cheaper)!! To compound this, I have emailed Fish three times and had no reply, or even acknowledgement, whatsoever. Interestingly it was only once I advised of my intention to let others know of my experience that I actually got any response.

I know that unfortunately many insurers tend to seek to effectively ‘punish' customer loyalty by such practices, but the above seems to me to be in a different league and particularly galling given their active targeting of the disabled market – I personally struggle to actively shop around for competitive quotations due to my condition, as I'm sure many disabled people also do. Their positioning as the ‘disabled insurance specialists' maybe lulls people into a false sense of security which I believe to be fundamentally unethical and, well, sad.

I was involved in an accident and contacted Axa about the claim 2 months ago. Since then I have sent countless emails, made multiple calls and even sent 2 emails to their complaints department and I’ve not had 1 update or reply… in 2 months!!!

Google Bad Review (2):  For months i have been trying to claim the damage of a flat tire. AXA is making it very difficult on purpose so that they won't have to pay what they promise to cover. They say they reply within 5 workdays but most of the time it takes longer. AXA has become synonymous with frauds.
