Google Bad Review 1:  “Disgraceful company.” Avoid.

This agency worked with me for around two months. The first carer they supplied was standoffish and cold. After a week or so of living in, she began ignoring my calls without warning (after telling me she would come and help if needed). She refused to leave her room, and left me in a puddle of my own wee all night. She did not apologise. The management took weeks to replace her. The next carer was better, and much more empathetic and competent at her job. Unfortunately she had to leave after only a week. After that, there was endless confusion. Carers would be late, the management was unresponsive, unapologetic and seemed to find it physically painful to explain to me clearly and truthfully what was going on with the erratic nature of my care. One of the carers hit it on the head: “I’m really sorry about all this, this company’s a disgrace.”
The third carer they supplied me with was incompetent to the point of being dangerous. She had to be monitored all the time. Tasks that took most people 5 minutes would take her over an hour. She overdosed me on three separate occasions. On one occasion, she shouted at me for needing help at night, and only apologised when I took it to the manager. The company were slow to find a replacement, despite the fact their carer was a danger to the safety of their customer. When this carer finally left, it turned out that the agency had lied to me about the replacement being NG tube competent. They refused to apologise.
I’ve given Right at Home one star, as there are some good carers (although some are more competent and nicer than others). I can say with confidence that all the care workers have kind hearts- it’s such a shame they are so seriously let down by the shoddy management.
If you want consistent care, transparency, and a responsive management, Right at Home is the last place to look.
I would suggest avoiding this company. I wish I had.

Google Bad Review 1:  This review is based on my experience at the Home instead Bromley. This business doesn't even deserve 1star in my opinion. The manager was exceptionally rude to me. And if you ask questions about how the organisation is run, and the wellbeing of the patients. The staff will become very defensive. The manager actually shouted at me and I found her and the supervisor to be very intimidating. I am very concerned about the welfare of the patients and the service which is provided to them. Please do research on different care homes and organisations caring for your elderly family members. And do not be afraid to ask the staff and management questions. Before allowing your loved ones to be left in the care of these people. Extremely disappointed

The manager for bluebirdcare (brent) tells lies, gives you false misleading information, she shouts at you, your emails and phone calls are ignored by her, Your hard work isn't appreciated your just used, you are given work only to benefit the company. People have left this company because of the manager. The manager is very disorganised and unprofessional. If you have to clean filthy toilets do that instead!

Google Bad Review 1:  I was Deputy Manager at Hartley House before Eleanor Care took over. I loved my job until the change. I had no support for 11 days during a Covid outbreak in the home, I was left to run it with only 2 other care staff and agency workers that could not speak English or had any clue how to support residents with dementia. I begged for help as after working over 120 hrs in 8 days, sleeping in the office upstairs and going above and beyond I was exhausted, as were my fellow colleagues. I was signed off and then had no choice but to resign. Eleanor Care showed no compassion or emotion to the fact that residents were dying and we needed help desperately. I would never work for this company and I certainly would not send any loved ones to be in their care. It was a disgraceful of them and they should be ashamed of themselves.

Google Bad Review (2):  This is a review on the Eleanor Care's Surbiton branch. I was initially interested in the job for the opportunity to look after elderly people, after the death of my grandmother. They sent me to first aid training, but after receiving the certificate, they told me that they would not give it to me until I have worked for them for six months. Then after telling them that I can work on weekends, they gave me work on Saturday and Sunday both from 7AM until 7PM (although I ended up working until 9PM). Furthermore, since the job requires you to travel to and from clients' houses, they should have paid for transport, and they did not! I also have not been paid nor have I received a payslip. I am not happy about their management. I left after those two days and I strongly recommend anyone who is considering work there not to do so.
