Google Reviewer 1, Name (Bad Review): sean yezagelian
Google Bad Review 1: Chasing staff for test results, extremely long wait times, borderline aggressive secretaries who's job not only entails making bookings for the multiple doctor's they alone are assigned to; but to do so with as much passive-aggressiveness and vitriol as is apparently possible through the medium of a short character based email. Because good luck trying to get anyone on the phone as Doctors are constantly away and if you do manage to catch someone accidentally answering the phone, you will be greeted with what might as well be a voicemail explaining that the doctor is not working today and that you can try to email – which of course will not be answered until said Tuesday rendering the whole process of getting a quicker response pointless. P.S. NHS patients accustomed to being able to speak to a doctor over the phone in times of sudden emergency or sudden changes to your condition, you will not be able to do that here. Doctor's do not do phone calls and this is explicitly told to you if you ask, no you will only able to do that if you go through the free overworked underpaid Doctors of the NHS, not through the Doctor's of Nuffield Manor Hospital whom you are paying for.
I could and would like to go on but everyone I've described has already been said in the critical reviews below – the administration staff really are the worst, and the doctor's are fine. Surgical staff and anything to do with physical tests are great. But if like me and you are here because either the NHS waiting times are too long or because you would like a more focused approach from your doctor instead of the conveyer belt system used at the NHS then this is not the place for you. The waiting times are only marginally shorter if you can manage to chase staff around to arrange appointments but the lack of communication is disarming. If their is one sentence I can use to describe my experience it would be; they make you feel like your bothering them when you make a call. The whole experience really does feel like the NHS but with better coffee machines.
Please consider a different hospital if you are like me and a desperate for a diagnosis and cannot wait for the NHS. It says a lot when I am considering going to Harley Street Hospitap for a diagnosis when the prices will most likely be infinitely more expensive, the distance longer (I'm in Oxford) but the response time at least according to latest CQC report will be better.
Anyone with this type of experience please leave a review here, I might just be an exception their are good reviews on here, but it says a lot that most of the good reviews get feedback from the hospital but the bad ones have no replies. I'm only leaving this review to hopefully save other people in situations like myself from wasting their time. I have been with this hospital for a little over 7 months with no diagnosis, 6 tests done and a medication prescription of over the counter suppositories, which the hospital does not provide and that has to be ordered over the internet.
Bottom line if you do not already know your condition and are desperate for a diagnosis, go elsewhere. If you do know your condition and are just here for treatment you will probably be fine.
Google Reviewer 2, Name (Bad Review): Deniz Erezyilmaz
Google Bad Review (2): No appointment after seven weeks. I tried to get an appointment for an MRI with a referral. After 10 days there was no response so I wrote to them. I received a stern email about how busy and important they are. In the reply a stranger called me by my first name, and spoke to me like a child, something many people with non-English names experience. I am still waiting for an appointment almost two months later.
