Google Bad Review 1:  My first review and unfortunatly a bad one… Agree to dave's review. This is the second bad experience i've had with her. First time i went in the afternoon and she was playing on the gambling machine. My friends rang the bell several times and she didn't take any notice. When i told her, she finished her game and then opened the door. She constantly pressures people for drinks and yes there was a fly in my collegues drink and she argued and charged us for a replacement. I was a regular till i moved out the area and uncle is a very nice man but his wife is a different story. She is very rude and very bossy, i spoke to a few regulars who i used to drink with and they have moved to other places because of the lady. I felt very embarassed in front of my boss and collegue as i recomended this place for our companies annual christmas dinner.

I was sitting in the corner enjoying music and the lady owner came to me and said i can't sit here for so long and only have 1 drink. If i was in restuarent i would understand, but i was in bar. It was very sad as other people hear what she say. Luckly i was recording a song on my mobile phone and have a recording of her telling me off. I have shown to my kids they are going to take action against gymkhana for being forceful to a ill man. I will never recommend anyone to gymkhana

Google Bad Review 1:  Nice hotel BUT don't use the valet parking! I paid £60 to get my m3 parked in what I thought would be the hotels car park! When I got the car back the next day I found a few scratches on it. I know they wasn't there before as Iv just had the whole car sprayed and this was the 1st time since then the car had been out. I told the hotel manager and he said he would look into it for me! But it must of been done here as they do a check on the car for any imperfections before they drive it and nothing had been circled on the card! (Like I said the car was mint after a full respray) After a week I got a phone call to say they had checked the Cctv in the NCP car park and they don't think it was done there, so they are not going to pay for it! I was very disappointed as I hadn't been told that the car would be valet parked in an NCP car park for £60!! I wouldn't park my pride and joy in an NCP.

Google Bad Review (2):  Stayed here 27/12/2021 to 29/12/2021. Some of my items were missing from the room, housekeeping may have thrown it away. Called in twice on 30/12 and 1/1/2022. Was promised an investigation with an email reply but no reply until now. Tried to use online form but can't even submit after filling in everything. Any email we can send in to because apparently calling in doesn't work at all. No update of situation, no respond to our issue. We are not sure if investigation was indeed carried out.

Google Bad Review 1:  I stayed at the Double Tree Hilton for 4 nights which was a very unpleasant experience. Woke up with bed bug bites all over my body, we had to request our room to be cleaned (which is something I have never had to do at any other Double Tree Hilton hotels) I would advise people not to book this hotel as it’s not worth the price.

Google Bad Review 1:  The room was not fit for purpose. Bathroom tiles and paint were cracked, damp and mould around shower and the ceiling. Floorboard creaked every time you moved, furniture was dilapidated and the windows were filthy to the point you could barely see out of them. The window frame were in disrepair and single glazed, you could hear the traffic lights every time they allowed pedestrians to cross. The room felt like a bedsit and I avoided breakfast because the hotel felt so dirty. I made the front desk aware of my dissatisfaction and asked to speak to a manager, and was told there wasn't one on duty. I asked for them to contact me directly, which has subsequently not happened. I completed an online survey from the hotel and was sent a generic response from a manager. I left a review on an external site and again given a generic response. I emailed the hotel and was told “Thank you for contacting us. We will promptly reply to your request”, that was over a week ago. I see other people have encountered similar issues to myself only to be told the generic response of “I do hope you will be glad to read that we are currently monitoring some improvements in our rooms and we do hope we can welcome you back on a future occasion, once these have been fully rolled out and completed.” This has been pushed out time and time again this year, if you know the rooms are not fit for use then stop ripping people off and charging them for a sub-standard room? Management can send out a generic response to this review and it will reinforce the notion that they simply don't listen. It's been an all round dire experience with Thistle, my first and last stay with them. Woeful service, inept action from management.

Google Bad Review 1:  Church house is a wonderful place however be very careful with your personal belongings I had two bags of purchases stolen from the main assembly hall during a two day meeting this last week. Valued at circa £100 religious books etc from their own shoppe. Sad. The catering staff are super lending a good European flavour. Food was very good for having to feed 100 people.
