Google Bad Review 1:  Power hungry, unprofessional and rude manager who called the police on me for “raising my voice” when I was simply speaking in my normal tone. The police rejected her forwards as she said there wasn’t any CCTV evidence which is clearly untrue, she just knew there was no evidence of me being abrupt and loud. All this for simply asking her why my return isn’t being accepted. Apparently the item was “not in resaleable condition” – I repackaged the item as neatly and tidily as possible, which was unused and in perfectly new condition. In fact, I went to the branch in Lakeside and the item was returned without any issues. I even spoke to the manager at lakeside and she apologised on the behalf of Argos for my terrible experience at Dagenham. She even recommended to forward a letter of complaint, as she has had several complaints regarding the management at Dagenham.

I will be posting a letter to the Argos head office about this manager and will require action as soon as possible. Going through the reviews I can see this isn’t an isolated circumstance regarding returns.

The workers are lazy and simply cannot be bothered to process something that isn’t a sale. I have worked in retail managing regions before and this is the worst experience I have ever suffered.

Shame on you Argos for employing such a pathetic excuse of a manger.

Google Bad Review 1:  Visited the store twice and spoke to customer service on the phone in between visits for me to leave the last visit feeling unsatisfied and without a reasonable solution. I purchased my first iPad Pro 2 years 2months ago, with apple care guarantee. The iPad Pro responsive recognition malfunctioned after a year and a half and I was given a replacement iPad. 7 months into my replacement iPad Pro the hardware system has malfunctioned and the iPad Pro is unable to be restored. I visited the store for assistance in which the response I was met with was “you will need to purchase a brand new iPad Pro as the system has failed and will not restore”. I was extremely unsatisfied with this solution as this particular iPad was only 7months old and has already broken through a fault that isn’t mine. After calling apples customer service they ensured me that their products are made of quality and if they malfunction due to a fault that isn’t mine they are able to still offer me a new but discounted product because of the UK consumer law and decided to rebook me another appointment to get a better solution. Today I visited the store, I was met with an employee at the Genius Bar with very little interest to look into the situation further, once I had asked for a manager he offered me a new iPad Pro for £550 without any apple care. After explaining that there is no reason for me to purchase another discounted iPad Pro because they are only liable for 3 months after purchase EVEN IF the fault is a manufacture error therefore if I did purchase this iPad Pro for £550 and it malfunctioned after just 4 months I would then had to purchase a brand new one for full price or proceed with this same process. Apple is supposed to produce QUALITY products and customer care yet I have seen neither. Considering I can go to other stores and purchase the same product for £500 as well as get 2 YEARS FREE GUARANTEE, their company may not be as advanced as apple but they certainly know how to keep customers. Feel very let down and ripped off by apple, I DO NOT RECOMMEND.

I have been dealing with them for the past 7 weeks and my washing machine still isn't fixed. 1 week before xmas they lost the part and advised me to get a new washing machine 1 WEEK BEFORE XMAS. my washing machine is 2 years old. they managed to get a part and fit it the day before christmas eve and its the wrong part. so had to book another appointment for an engineer to come out for the following wednesday, my partner booked the day off of work, today is the day the engineer is meant to turn up and they cancel the appointment. apparently the next appointment is next wednesday. I have a new born (well i did when this all started) a 5 yr old and my partner that is a landscaper and i need my washing machine fixed.

Google Bad Review 1:  Power hungry, unprofessional and rude manager who called the police on me for “raising my voice” when I was simply speaking in my normal tone. The police rejected her forwards as she said there wasn’t any CCTV evidence which is clearly untrue, she just knew there was no evidence of me being abrupt and loud. All this for simply asking her why my return isn’t being accepted. Apparently the item was “not in resaleable condition” – I repackaged the item as neatly and tidily as possible, which was unused and in perfectly new condition. In fact, I went to the branch in Lakeside and the item was returned without any issues. I even spoke to the manager at lakeside and she apologised on the behalf of Argos for my terrible experience at Dagenham. She even recommended to forward a letter of complaint, as she has had several complaints regarding the management at Dagenham.

I will be posting a letter to the Argos head office about this manager and will require action as soon as possible. Going through the reviews I can see this isn’t an isolated circumstance regarding returns.

The workers are lazy and simply cannot be bothered to process something that isn’t a sale. I have worked in retail managing regions before and this is the worst experience I have ever suffered.

Shame on you Argos for employing such a pathetic excuse of a manger.

Google Bad Review 1:  Opened Bush 32 inch tv on Christmas day. Screen was broken, plug was smashed & tv was dusty. My husband took it back on 27th & was accused by acting manager Emily & 2 lady store assistants of swapping the tv for a broken one. Serial numbers also didn't match. My husband was extremely embarrassed as this all happened in front of a large queue of customers. My husband was made to feel like a criminal & that he was lying about the tv. Now we have to wait until argos does an investigation to prove what happened. Word of caution- check all purchases before leaving the store as there is something very dodgy going on in house at argos. Will not buy from Argos again.
48 hours later no investigation has even been started. Took back tv again & what a surprise no manager on duty. Anyway store manager of Sainsbury gave my husband a replacement tv. No apology no explanation. Be careful. Check all purchases before you leave the store.
