Google Bad Review 1:  A 1 star review is being more than generous. The BAID website “states 98% of our students would recommend our course”. I would be interested in how this feedback was collated. I have spoken to dozens of students. As well as seeing many dismayed, frustrated and let down students on their own social media. This figure appears to be vastly inflated. It would also be interesting if they published the percentage of students who actually finish each course. I have heard of one class who started with around 14 students and now there are only 2 of the original enrolment left. As well as countless others who have dropped out due to the course being mis-sold and inadequate. Many others report having run out of time allowed to complete their course, and not being allowed to stay on. The reasons for them not finishing the course are many. But they are often due to the advertised timescale of completion being wholly unrealistic. And often completely unachievable. Due to the vague, fluffy and often contradictory materials provided by BAID, many students often fail due to confusion as to what the assignments are asking of you. The online forum provided for help (and answered by tutors) is also often contradictory. Slow or inadequate answers from tutors only add to this confusion. Fails are often as a result of form (i.e. layout/presentation) as well as unclear guidance rather than anything to do with interior design itself. I have found myself asking other students for help more frequently than any staff. As this is at least quicker and clearer than other channels. Finally; the course materials/literature provided by BAID. They are dated, amateur looking and generally inadequate. Meaning that the majority of assignments/skills are self taught. Which is fine to an extent. But not when it is the majority of things. I could have just saved the money and taught myself for free. Using youtube videos and other free web sources. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. Its a con. I cannot believe they are allowed to continue to operate. And any staff from BAID. Please do not contact me about this or even reply, unless it is for a full refund. I'm really not interested in your poor, regurgitated excuses and justifications. No doubt taken from a template.

Google Bad Review (2):  Be careful and think very carefully before signing up for a course. I have had a very bad experience with BAID.

Firstly, on top of the course payment you will also be expected to buy lots of technical equipment which is quite expensive. There is also a reading list of expensive design books which I was unable to get from a library.

Secondly, all the course material is as PDFs on their website, you get 3 sheets of paper actually sent out to you. Thirdly, submitting work is hard – it has to be the correct file format, small size etc, or else the assignment will be automatically rejected.

It also takes a lot of time – if you are a busy professional I would advise that this is not the course for you. And make sure you check out everything online and ask for a refund if not happy in the first two weeks – if not it ends up being a very expensive mistake 🙁
