Google Bad Review 1:  Awful Experience… It is with regret that I’m having to leave a bad review. My fiancé and I had the worst experience with James at London Diamonds and I hope this review will stop others from making the same mistake.

We commissioned two bespoke rings and encountered a total of 7 faults with the rings which I have outlined below:

1. The main diamond fell out. The ring was incorrectly built and the diamond was not secure. It’s extremely lucky we didn’t lose it.
2. A small diamond fell out of the engagement ring band.
3. A fake diamond was used on the band of the engagement ring which was brought to our attention when we had the rings professionally valued.
4. There was a lump in the platinum on the engagement ring band.
5. Neither of the two rings were hallmarked which is a legal requirement.
6. One small diamond on the engagement ring band was set wonky and angling downwards.
7. One small diamond on the wedding band was set wonky and angling downwards.

The overall craftsmanship was appalling. We had to use a different jeweller (DMR) to completely remake both of the rings and fix the faults.

As an apology James offered to send my fiancé a diamond pendant, but this was never sent or received.

If you are thinking about using London Diamonds to save money on your jewellery then don’t – go to a proper jewellers and get something that is expertly crafted and will not break. It’s not worth the risk of losing diamonds and it’s also not worth the time, worry, hassle and stress.

James was very helpful but after some research and speaking to a few people in industry we found James to be a little over priced to current market rate for similar stones. James doesn’t offer a bad service by any means but a little over priced and quick to belittle other reputable Independent jewellers
