Google Bad Review 1: Very unprofessional attitude. The costs he told me was high for that type of work. Then , because it was not cost-effective for me, he twice reduced it as we are on a market. He was pushing me, as I must to take this service. So then, he few times changes the conditions of repair. And few days after, after my call again!!, he told me he couldn’t repair it, because of its cost more and it was impossible to determine the cause early. Then after my perturbation he started shouting at me, that he couldn’t know it before. I’m not a IT specialist but I thought it is right to talk with customers about a price after you sure a problem is it. And of course I’m sure every good professional specialist and person can’t allow to shouting at someone.

Google Bad Review (2): Edit 8.10.2022: you can see their reply (screenshot saved) for the condescending attitude I mentioned in my review. Also not sure if it’s an implicit threat, but they just sent me another email suggesting they still keep a copy of my recovered data. Hello? Where is that total commitment to customer privacy you assured me of?
My original review disappeared for some reason. So I’m gonna keep posting until one sticks. This transaction happened on Jun 21st, 2022. The gist is, they refused to return my old device with a very unprofessional and condescending attitude, after I paid in full (in cash) for data recovery, and later threatened me to take down my review.
Details:
Called the office, a technician came out to meet me in the street, agreed to recover data from my broken laptop for 90 GBP, cash only (should have seen the red flag). He delivered the data later that day and I paid cash, but he did not bring my broken laptop along. When I asked, he said it’s a mess and he needed a few days to get it together.
When I contacted him the next day, he changed his story and said because I said “ I don’t care about the laptop, I just need the data, do whatever you need”, he gets to keep my laptop. And I need to pay 55 GBP extra to get it back. It is simply ridiculous and I outright refused and demanded he return MY laptop. He stopped answering my calls and messages after that. The only email I got from him afterwards was full of lies and insults (it seemed that he forgot he wasn’t the only one with our message history) and he threatened me to take down my original review, or he would tell on me to my university. It was both an infuriating and hilarious threat. Funny how he just assumed I’m an ignorant and helpless student and that I didn’t already sent out an email to warn everyone at the university about him.
If I had more time in London, I’d have seen this through a small claim court, even just for my peace of mind. But the only thing I can do now is periodically check that this review is still here to help warn others.
