I worked for wise 2 months then resigned. They lie about shift times,
you have to beg them for a break, they give the best positions to their mates,
once I did a long hard shift, I was sweating and so tired, at the same time 3 stewards were sitting on chairs for hours , they were playing on their phones and being a nuisance, the supervisor just smiled and laughed with them, when I asked for a break I was rudely told to get back to work
Some of the supervisors cannot speak English, most are overweight and dumb, it's clear they only got the job because they are friends with the managers
I have a SIA license,they know this but they try to pay you as a steward which is alot less
My advice? Avoid wise. There are hundreds of events companies and agencies to choose from , I would rather be broke and unemployed than work for wise,
2o min break on a 10 hour shift just shows that they don't CAre

Google Bad Review (2): I signed up to Wise in April 2018 and was informed I had to undergo mandatory training with no pay. I completed the whole day training (without pay) in hope that it would pay off long term.
Unfortunately the experience hasn't lived up to this expectation. They operate a portal system where you request shifts and see confirmed bookings. The portal is a great tool and helped manage and coordinate time.
However shifts requested would sit under provisional status for a long time and I would often have to ring to cancel having been confirmed work else where.
On occasions that shifts are confirmed, they often start at 10 hours in length but as you get closer to the event the shifts decrease and can be as short as 5.5hours long. The portal provides instruction for each shift detailing expectation often stating to arrive 30 minutes before. However this presents a risk because unless you arrive earlier than this you are not always given the work they have booked you for because positions are full. The portal does give a small print that even if they book you for SIA work at a decent salary rate, if no SIA positions are available upon arrival they will offer steward shifts as an alternative for minimum wage. My experience however is that they do not always offer the alternative either and you can end up going home with no work at all and having spent money on travel to the venue and turning other work down too.
If you are booked and confirmed for shifts and do not turn up or cancel within a certain timeframe as a worker you are punished with strikes, 3 strikes and you lose your contract. The office staff attitude for overbooking security and steward officers for events and you having been turned away is typical and you should have no reason to complain. Their approach to welfare and professionalism is questionable despite the claims of people skills and education levels on their website. They show no interest in hearing what you have to say and make false claims against you (despite no proof) should you attempt to be professional and resolve matters over the phone.
Payment is monthly, on the 7th or the following working day if this lands on a weekend. However ensure you check your pay summary page as errors occur and any attempt you make to rectify this prior to pay day will be ignored also. You have to wait until payday to submit a wage query and they will make a second BACs run to rectify missing payments.
Both security and steward work is paid at lower rates to the officers you will alongside from other agencies when at events, Wise are looking to maximise their profits understandably but note you can get higher paid work with other agencies but Wise's use of their portal system works in their favour when booking shifts.
Work that is at events such as Brighton or Ascot where coach travel is required, note that travel time is unpaid and rates are low. Wise do however increase the hourly rate of pay slightly when they struggle to recruit for such events.
Susan in the office has really great customer service skills and if you can get her to deal with your queries and resolve your issues you are likely to have a much better experience and therefore higher star rating.
