Google Bad Review 1: Beautiful venue but terrible behaviour from management! We were treated very badly throughout the pandemic and then asked (repeatedly, and with pressure from their Lawyer) to sign an agreement which prevented us from writing a negative review. I do not know how many others may have been subjected to this. Where Colville can’t avoid a poor review, I see that they are prepared to respond with lies if necessary. Thank goodness for lockdown which allowed us to cancel and book somewhere else where we had a fantastic experience from start to finish. Avoid – it’s just not worth the risk!
Update in response to Colville’s reply: This is inaccurate (as is often the case with your communications, unfortunately). Our wedding was postponed once, and by Colville, not us. This was in anticipation of government restrictions which later came into force. When offered a refund for our rescheduled date after numerous issues with service, we gratefully accepted in writing without delay. It was at that point that you demanded we sign an agreement with extensive gagging clauses for family and friends as well as ourselves. We were very clear in our reasoning for not accepting these terms – we wanted to be able to warn others of the risk they take when planning a wedding with Colville.

Google Bad Review (2): A beautiful venue and setting for any wedding, don't book unless you're happy to put up with bitter, twisted and incredibly difficult owners who hate weddings and couldn't be less accommodating. Book with caution. They even quoted us on their website out of context without our permission.
