Google Bad Review 1:  I worked here for a very short time. The first placement I was given was going fine. I was taught to assist a lovely gentleman with his every day needs with an experienced carer. Little did I know that she was to leave and I would have to train someone after 1.5 weeks of learning. The gentleman needed advanced care, and I did not feel confident in training someone from scratch. I tried to complain to the agency but it fell on deaf ears.

The second placement I was completely alone. The handover was poor and all medication, bedding, food, washing up and toiletries were scattered everywhere. I was told that the couple I was looking after had varying degrees of dementia. This turned out not to be true. The lady that I looked after had a stroke, and I did NOT receive training on how to look after someone with these difficulties. I couldn't get the poor lady dressed for fear of hurting her. I was so inexperienced that it was embarrassing. I hassled the office to tell them that I need help. I rang multiple times from the landline to no answer. Later I was blamed for using the wrong phone number however I called multiple numbers to no answer. They used this against me when dismissing me. I used the number given to me on my carers handbook !!!

The lady I was looking after was not feeling well. I was completely overwhelmed because of the amount of stuff that needed doing around the house due to how it was left. I called an ambulance and requested that I be replaced when I eventually got hold of the office. That day I worked from 12:30 : 3am with no time to shower. I was woken up at 6am to assist on the gentleman looking for his wife. Luckily she was all well, and I spent the day talking to him and resuming every day duties.

The paramedic thought of the agency as abysmal when I told him my situation.

MEDICATION WAS SCATTERED EVERYWHERE. The MAR sheets were not filled out so I was unsure whether the couple recieved the correct medication. They did not discuss when to take the medication with the previous carer. This is dangerous especially when morphine and other potent medications were being used.

Where I do not drive; I had to take four heavy bags of clinical waste to an Asda's near by in 25 degree heat. If I were to take a break, the couple would have been left completely alone. The agency refused to take responsibility for this. They blamed me for everything. It got to a point where I was so burned out, I broke down and had to leave. The gentleman did not want me to go. I felt so terrible, leaving this elderly gentleman with weeks to live dying of cancer. The truth is, they needed more than one experienced carer to help them.

To make a long story short, I will list everything terrible about this agency.

-Lack of care and training for their staff
-Nobody to replace staff during breaks
-Nobody to supervise carer handover
-Lack of communication
-The agency refuses to take responsibility on their wrongdoings
-They will hire anyone
-for the amount of hours worked, carers are earning a lot less than minimum wage.

Do not work for this company and do not use this agency when looking after your loved ones!! I could never!!

And if I am blamed for this, I have now got a job in another care home and I am thoroughly loving it. I have been fully trained and I feel as though I am valued as an employee. I take responsibility for not knowing enough and accepting the job with little experience.

Google Reviewer 2, Name (Bad Review):  Ben Winston

Google Bad Review (2):  Utterly disorganized and completely negligent.

Thank you for your prompt reply. Unfortunately I am not mistaken, my partner worked for you and the conditions of the placement were abhorrent. They are also still owed reimbursement for travel expenses at present.
