Google Bad Review 1:  Very disappointed in the food and the service for what was a very expensive meal. Food was bland and extortionately priced…even for London standards. We were not even asked at the end of the meal how everything was to be given the chance to convey our disappointment. Bitterly disappointed and out a fortune for a sub standard meal in the city.

Google Bad Review (2):  Not impressed with Brumus today. The two stars are going towards the ratatouille which was served with our tuna steak and which was very tasty. Other than that, a real disappointment. Our waitress barely spoke English and we genuinely could not understand half of what she was saying. The service was slow – about 15 minutes' wait to be able to order and another good 20 minutes after we finished our main to be able to order dessert, and this is when we call upon someone to attend – and at the end we were told by the manager that they needed our table and were invited to leave promptly. We had been sitting for less than 2 hours overall. The food was ok, but far from amazing. My sister's tuna was overcooked and my own had bits of white in it which indicates a lack of freshness. The guacamole on the salmon starter lacked seasoning. Desserts were decent. So overall not a place where we would go back. We do eat out a fair bit, have tried lots of Michelin starred places and the like on menu deals and have always been impressed and enjoyed the experience. Not today unfortunately. We were wearing jeans and hoodies (Sunday) and thought it may have had to do with this, although we have never felt that this was a problem before. Maybe not looking posh enough? I'm not sure but what I am sure of is we know what good food and service feels like and we did not feel it at Brumus!
