Google Bad Review 1:  I was looking to get a new gas cooker installed in our newly built kitchen and Astrit Reka quoted a lot more than what other builders were looking to charge. When I asked him for a breakdown of how he derived with his costings and for previous client references, he got defensive and was also very hestitant to put it in writing. When he first entered my house he appeared quite friendly and like he is trying to be my best buddy but his body language changed the moment I questioned his quote. One of the things that I eventually established was that Astrit was quoting me for eight metres of copper piping with fittings when in fact the actual correct distance was only just under four metres from incoming gas connection pipe from wall in property to bayonet gas fitting. Of course I did not use this plumber when for like for like service I paid significanty a lot less for the works that others charged than what Reka Plumbing were trying to charge me. My best advice to anyone is try to obtain at least three quotes (or more) from plumbers or builders, do your homework beforehand and where possible try to obtain knowledge of what they are actually supposed to do, what materials they will use, a breakdown of their charges and compare like for like services (including after service support, if any). They thought that they could easily charge me more but failed. If money is of no object they may be for you otherwise be very careful when using Reka Plumbing. I suspect that what they do is they will read your body language and observe your property relatively quickly and then come to a conclusion as to whether they think you have the money to throw or not.

Google Bad Review (2):  I wish I had read the reviews on this guy, he is greedy and abnoxious. He comes across nice and personable before he gets the job then once he starts he is out to fleece you. Material quoted was double the actual cost and did dodgy pipework. Had to get someone else to fix it all. Good luck using him!!
