Google Bad Review 1:  God forbid you go one month over warranty, they don't want to know or help you in any way. £35 in ear headphones and the handsfree mic fell apart after 13 months, wanted repair or exchange. Bought various bits of hifi equipment over the years but never again. Always tried to support local stores, but go to John Lewis at least they'll help.

Google Bad Review (2):  Went to Richer Sounds with the expectation of expert advice but this was not the care.

I have an existing setup of an NAD amp and Tannoy speakers. Unfortunately my Subwoofer has stopped working and I was looking for a way of playing from a streaming service.

With regard the Subwoofer it was as bit of a PC world experience with the sales guy reading me the specs from their website.

For the streaming service I asked to look at the Sonos connect, but was advised that this wouldn’t work because I would need a complete new system. He explained that there was no point as it was it would be an amp driving an amp. For the the Connect:Amp I can see how this would be the case, but the basic connect does not have any speaker connections. When I asked what was the point of the basic Connect he said “I really don’t know”.

I then tried another tack and explained to another assist for the problem who confirmed with the first assistant that for steaming I would need a whole new system. This all sounded too odd so I left.

For the record Sonos have good online chat and confirmed a Sonos connect is what I needed. I bought this online and saved my self some cash. My advise would be to do it all online and save yourself the misinformation and travel time too.

I’m still not sure it was in importance that drove the bad advice or the hope of me spending and £1500 on a new setup. Either way stay way.
