Google Reviewer 1, Name (Bad Review):  steven brown

Google Bad Review 1:  Bought a expensive howdons kitchen and was fitted through an excellent local builder popped into the footscray road depot to pick up a couple of carbon filters for the hood as it’s recommend they are changed every 3-6 months . Was told that they do not sell to the general public ( serviceable parts included ) and that I would have to get a builder in just to fit charcoal filters . ( 2 – 4 times a year ) ended up purchasing from eBay .

Google Reviewer 2, Name (Bad Review):  Jacquie Hutchinson

Google Bad Review (2):  Initially quite good but recommended flooring which didn’t lay well and then refunded the fitter rather than us who had paid for it. Damaged cupboards that we now can’t replace as the fitter did such a poor job he is refusing to replace and howdens are ‘trade only’ so we can’t get replaced either. Some very dodgy design flaws that were only evident once fitted.

Google Reviewer 1, Name (Bad Review):  Hayley

Google Bad Review 1:  Worst customer service ever received from an Argos store by the Manager her self. Their system was down and unable to give me my eBay order. I understood the system was down and at first calmly asked if with my code could a member of staff please try and look as we all know things are put with in order I was then sarcastically told no and would I like to go look my self whilst leaning and smirking. Absolutely shocking response and behaviour from a Manager. The store was extremely quite with staff standing around and no effort was made to help me further considering I had confirmation and code by email. For me it was no longer so much the fact my parcel could not be retrieved due to system failure but more so how the situation was handled. It then lead to me raising my voice as it was appalling to see a Manager behave in such a way. Definitely more training in customer service and how to handle difficult situations when a customer is unhappy. Overall I will not use the store going forward.

Staff refused to give me a refund because I ‘didn't have a receipt'. Save your receipt next time because their memory lives shorter than two minutes.

Google Reviewer 2, Name (Bad Review):  Brian Doherty

Google Bad Review (2):  Not great . Bought a prouduct it arrived had damage also parts missing

I had to repair as I need the item . But as soon as I approach Argos customer service it went down hill from their

The refused to cover the delivery cost
They refused to cover the cost of my time
They have no quilty control or checks before product is sent as a result you will receive a substander product

They are difinatly not a online company . Best go to high street and check product before you buy as the online don't check anything . Or go to another online company

Google Bad Review 1:  Visited the shop in Bromley High Street and bought one item, served by nice female assistant. But her male colleague was a disgrace, as we queued to pay he went into meltdown. Throwing stuff in anger, little old lady in front was freaked out. Management at this branch need to sort him out. Your client base is predominantly people of a certain age who expect better from such a well established firm.

Google Reviewer 1, Name (Bad Review):  Kayi Edits

Google Bad Review 1:  Power hungry, unprofessional and rude manager who called the police on me for “raising my voice” when I was simply speaking in my normal tone. The police rejected her forwards as she said there wasn’t any CCTV evidence which is clearly untrue, she just knew there was no evidence of me being abrupt and loud. All this for simply asking her why my return isn’t being accepted. Apparently the item was “not in resaleable condition” – I repackaged the item as neatly and tidily as possible, which was unused and in perfectly new condition. In fact, I went to the branch in Lakeside and the item was returned without any issues. I even spoke to the manager at lakeside and she apologised on the behalf of Argos for my terrible experience at Dagenham. She even recommended to forward a letter of complaint, as she has had several complaints regarding the management at Dagenham.

I will be posting a letter to the Argos head office about this manager and will require action as soon as possible. Going through the reviews I can see this isn’t an isolated circumstance regarding returns.

The workers are lazy and simply cannot be bothered to process something that isn’t a sale. I have worked in retail managing regions before and this is the worst experience I have ever suffered.

Shame on you Argos for employing such a pathetic excuse of a manger.

Google Reviewer 2, Name (Bad Review):  Dalė Lipska

Google Bad Review (2):  Very poor service
I couldn't collect it yesterday, today you cancelled my item and asking to pay one more time, even I payed for it straight away
No message about cancelling no money back

Google Reviewer 1, Name (Bad Review):  Paul Burley

Google Bad Review 1:  Appalling service. Received email saying order had arrived. Staff couldn't find it and said that an order must have been checked in incorrectly. I said that I wasn't pleased about the inconvenience and I was told that they would telephone to let me know it had arrived, as though that was going above and beyond (!) – they didn't even offer to post it out to save a second trip. There's plenty of other places that sell the things that they offer and usually for better value. I asked for a refund and will be taking my business elsewhere in future – I just don't have enough spare time to waste on shoddy service.

Google Reviewer 2, Name (Bad Review):  David Del'Nero

Google Bad Review (2):  The good

I purchased an item from them which was great.

The bad

I was amazed to see none of the staff wearing a mask, there was a perspex shield in front of the till but the members of staff just come round to your side, there were also staff walking round the store chatting to customers with no Mask, I cannot understand why Robert Dyas haven't made it compulsory for their staff to wear Masks , the customers do, so the staff are protected from the customers!

Not far from this store is St Thomas' Hospital, the staff have to wear Masks at all times for long shifts, risking their lives.

Why can't your staff?

I won't be shopping at Robert Dyas ever again!

Google Bad Review (2):  Went there today for a quick visit to buy some utensils. A member of staff followed me around suspiciously, which made me feel very uncomfortable.
I decided on an item and went to pay for it. The shop assistant was an old man that actually smelled of piss, didn't say hi back, I asked if I could have a receipt simply ignored me, overall this place knows nothing of customer experience.
I won't be coming back.
