Google Bad Review 1:  Whatever you do please do not waste time and money at this sham of a college. The support staff are lazy, disorganised and incompetent. The heads of department rarely respond to emails and are not abreast of what is going. The teachers couldn’t care less. It took over a year before we received our certificates during which time several members of staff quit and barely anyone responded to emails, messages or knew the status of our certificates. It wasn’t until we threatened legal action that we received a swifter response. I had to threaten legal action twice to receive a refund for one course (over £1000) and for the other course where my certificate still hadn’t materialised almost a year later. Absolute disgrace. This place should be reported to the council and various examining bodies but I can’t be bothered to put myself through additional stress.

Google Bad Review (2):  I found chaos and employees probably looking after their salaries more than looking after and helping students.Totaly disappointed. I suggest you get the employees to do more training.They have few and even confused ideas.I lost count of how many times from the ground floor, They sent me to the second floor and vice versa .It wasn’t NO FUNNY! After I took the assessment,They quietly told me that they didn;t have classroom to put me in class.It was ridiculous and nonsensical.

Google Bad Review 1:  My experience is concerning the Short Courses at UAL in particular CSM. I hope that it’s different for full time students.

Overall the course I experienced was poorly run with teachers uninterested in teaching and just filling time. After reaching out to the management with an intial complaint where I politely suggested ways my experience could be improved (for the remainder of the course) it became apparent that they also are very poorly run.

The next day the teacher demanded to know who had complained to which I owned up because I felt so uncomfortable. After talking with the teacher privately they explained that the office had sent them a list with everything that was wrong with their course and needed fixing. They were very upset and told me that I wasn’t “cut out for CSM” if I couldnt hack a teacher I didnt like. This is in my opnion unecessary and it was absoloutly not personal from my side – I had only given constructive critism. The management dealt with my email in an appalling way. The teacher was wrong to call out a complaint to the entire class and then speak to me in this manner.

It gets worse. The teacher then took another student aside at lunch to complain about me and my complaint. Following this I complained again about the teachers actions and the management of my initial complaint.

UAL would not give me a refund, only a credit towards another course. I decided to choose a course which involved physical making of something to ensure I got something from it only for this course to be cancelled 3 weeks before the start date. I requested a full refund which they agreed to. That was 21 days ago and I still havent seen the refund in my account. I also know of 3 other students on my course who complained and are also having ongoing battles with short courses management.

There were plenty of feedback forms for students on my course although I notice there are no reviews for short courses available on their website and when I asked to see past reviews before choosing another course they could not give any. I believe that the short courses are a money making venture for UAL and they do not care about student experiences or whether you actually get anything from these courses. I would not recommend UAL short courses to anyone.

Best marketing school and worst art school.

Regard student as ATM especially for international student, we have only one teacher in our class, it’s dictatorship. He don’t spend time on us cause he have his part time job outside, teaching student to do portfolio in a China Company.

Our class focused on philosophy but over half percentages of student can’t speak and understand English well, it’s nonsense.

Many student only showed up in degree show because they just want to buy a degree and a CSM brand name, they took photo every time when they went to school and posted to the social media but never dear to show their work.

Disgusting experience.

The degree show is so messy and bad.

Google Bad Review 1:  This is the worst college I’ve ever attended. The staff don’t communicate with each other, they equipment don’t work, I was first told i was able to just do level 4 laser which I got approved a loan for when I started I was then asked to leave due to me needing to also doing lever 3 as I didn’t have enough qualifications so I had to apply for another loan which I did so i had to miss 3 week (3 sessions) as I was waiting to get my loan letter. When I returned i received a email saying I’ve been removed from the course due to poor attendance which I made them aware it was there error, they resolved this (didn’t apologise) I then made them aware I needs a day off as I was attending my best friends wedding abroad which they said was ok and when I arrived back in the uk I again received another email stating I’ve been removed from the course. This college is poorly run, products are out of date and equipment don’t work!!! I will be taking this later further

The hair dresser forced me to use bleach when l just wanted a tint. As it was a timed exam they weren’t supervised and there was no time to correct the mistake.

However, 9 days before my test date (today) he cancelled on me which put me under a lot of stress as I needed to find another instructor and fit in more practise lessons. Before today, I had called and left voicemails with no reply. I am very saddened by this experience because I was hoping to keep the same instructor throughout which now is not possible. This score is not based on his lessons but rather on letting me down at such short notice.

Google Bad Review (2):  The tutors really good and friendly, they know their stuff and can prepare you for the exams pretty well… as long as you can mentally cope with the college itself. Receptionists are usually nice but the whole college in general is VERY disorganised!
If you are looking for a headache, misunderstandings, classes cancelled last minute, if you fancy your mock exam papers being lost and more ‘fun’ – this is definitely the best place for you to study at!

I attended Presidency for a year and at least 3 times I had my classes cancelled with NO notice at all: people would just turn up (usually travelling for at least 1h like myself) just to be told that ‘there is no lecture today’!
They easily loose your proof of payment of the tuition fee, letter confirming you can sit the national exam, when you ring them they are not sure if tomorrow’s classes are taking place or not (after so many cancellations you might as well want to check).

PS: I wonder if the positive reviews are written by friends or from made-up accounts because I have not heard from literally any of my peers that they are happy with their experience at the Presidency L.C.
