Google Bad Review 1: Without doubt the worst experience I've ever had from any business. I went to bexley garage with my front brake binding, I had front discs and pads fitted and within about 3 miles of leaving the garage both brakes were binding and smoking heavily. I returned to the garage to be told I then needed a calliper fitted at a further cost of £100. I had the calliper fitted and returned to collect my car just before close of business that day. When driving back to work my brakes were binding more heavily than they ever had been. Both brakes smoking heavily and front wheels extremely hot. I returned to the garage the next morning, they fitted another set of brakes and pads, which did not resolve he issue, and the owner told me ‘if I give him more money he'll fix the problem'. I was left £270 out of pocket and had an undriveable car which I needed to get to Newcastle upon Tyne that weekend. I had to get my car towed back to Newcastle, upon returning I took my car to my regular mechanic and they couldn't believe how poor the workmanship was that I had received.

If you like wasting money, terrible customer service and having a car that won't work then this is the place for you…

Otherwise please avoid at all costs, I'd give 0 stars if possible.

I cannot respond to your previous message so I will add to my original.

Saying that I never mentioned I had binding brakes is a complete lie, I called you saying my front right brake is binding, and YOU stated that I may need new discs and pads, at which point I asked if I could buy them myself as I knew I could get them cheaper at eurocarparts. During that phone call you suggested I shouldn't buy my own parts as it may not be that and I may buy the wrong parts. Not being a mechanic myself, I took your supposed ‘professional opinion' on board and gave you my vehicle to look at, you chose to change the discs and pads as you clearly thought there was a problem with them.

I returned the car 5 minutes after I first collected it and was told that I needed a new calliper, I complained to your ‘ATA qualified technician' David Knee, about a banging metallic noise coming from the front of my vehicle, he put his hand inside the wheel arch and said the link arm would also need to be replaced. It turned out to be a stone guard to the rear right causing the noise, absolutely nothing to do with the link arm, so I highly suggest you re train your staff as this could have been a further expense to myself had I trusted his judgement.

With regards to the diesel, yes it was low. The reason being I had 4 or 5 trips to your garage, travelling from Dartford with a round trip of 15 miles. So putting £10 diesel in is the least you could have done. However, there was still more than enough for a test drive, the trip computer was displaying 50 mile range when I dropped it off so I have no idea where you were planning on taking it.

My car is now driving perfectly after having one visit to my local mechanic, it is driving perfectly without having the N/S calliper or and brake lines replaced.

I can't understand why you would think I would suspect that I may have thought I needed a N/S calliper from the start? Why would I have knowingly spent money on other parts for my car when I may have known something else was wrong? I came to you to fix my car, and you couldn't. If you believe this is good customer service then good luck to you.
