Google Bad Review 1: Appalling, poorly, shameful and neglectful care for children is the best way to describe the services to children in this nursery! Not to mention the lack of professionalism and arrogance of the management! My son was neglected and utterly failed by management and starfish staff of this nursery, when he was in their care. He was attending 4 days F/T so you can trust our experiences which have been many! He was left in wet clothes despite having change of clothes in his changing bag which had his name boldly written on, when he got changed, other kids change of clothes were used because staff were too lazy to get his bag which had his name on (this happened more than once). Other times, he was made to wear only his trainers without socks (in the cold season) because his socks had gotten wet from play and staffs were too lazy to get a pair from his bag. On one occasion, we picked up our son to find him wearing his trainers the wrong way and none of the staff in the starfish room or his key worker had bothered to teach him the right way. His keyworker was Amanda and we consider her unfit to take care of kids. On one occasion when he was given prescription medication (antibiotics for a bad cough) staff failed to give him his medication simply because they forgot! Before our son started the nursery, we made the management aware that our major concern was him being a fuzzy eater and feared he would go hungry. We were assured this will not be the case. In reality, he was left hungry and spent the whole day at the nursery without any food if he failed to eat his lunch. No alternative was offered, such as toast but left hungry for the whole day. When he wanted more than one bread stick at 5pm snack time, he was refused and left to cry till he was picked. Our experiences have been many and heart-breaking, and for a child who has eaten nothing the whole day to be treated in that manner is beggar’s belief. We eventually withdrew him from the nursery after making several informal and formal complaints. It was the best decision and our son is now in another nursery, where he is doing brilliantly especially with his eating and his overall development. Our only regret is not withdrawing him from this nursery earlier. Our son is not the only child to have been neglected, many other kids if not all the kids in the nursery are likewise treated. This is what happens when staff have no passion or genuine care for kids in their care. If you are considering this nursery for your child, a word to the wise is enough! By Marian & Richard
